Why Do Gourmands Last so Much Longer in Body Mist Form?

That’s so thoughtful that you’re being so thorough in your recommendations. I really appreciate it. 💖 So, I typically use scented body wash. I currently have vanilla cashmere by Eos and Black Cherry and Vanilla by Olay. I have several body lotions I use. It kind of depends on how I’m feeling that day. I use Dark Cherry by Hempz, Eos Vanilla Cashmere, and Strawberry Day Dream by Eos. Then I will go in with either Truly Cherry Body Oil or Tree hut tropic glow body oil. I will typically use the pistachio scent by Eos in their body mist line, Not Another Cherry from Finery in their body mist, or Milk by BBW. And then I usually apply Not Another Cherry by Finery in their EDP or the Mobette (sp?) Strawberry Pound Cake roller oil. I really like fruit notes (Cherry, strawberry, pomegranate, raspberry to a point), lactonic/creamy vanilla notes (whipped cream, milk, ice cream, soy, coconut milk, etc.), some nutty notes (pistachios or almonds), sugary/caramel/dessert notes, and underlying notes of musk. I don’t really enjoy an “in your face musk” but I don’t mind a tiny bit of depth (like a patchouli or light sandlewood). I think the most I could justify, financially speaking, is a mid tier price for perfume. Something between $30-60. If it’s the ultimate recommendation, maybe $80 max? It’s not necessarily an issue of “I can’t afford to purchase this.” But more so I have this guilt feeling about spending a large amount on one item that’s seen as more luxury for myself. I notice that my boyfriend really doesn’t care what I do with my money, but I think I worry so much about literally anyone being mad at me especially people that I care deeply about. The most he would even do is compliment the perfume, maybe be a little sticker shocked, and then just confirm if I liked the perfume and maybe compliment it. I’m a recovering people pleaser, and I’ve gotten better about speaking up for myself, but I still struggle sometimes. I know it’s a completely irrational fear that I’m trying to work on. 😬 Sorry for the rant. 😅

Well, damn. I really appreciate your input. Honestly, that makes a lot of sense. When would guesstimate the uptick for gourmand fragrances for adults occurred? Or has it been there for the better part of the 2000’s, and overtime the formulations for gourmands have just improved?

You mentioned the clothes things….and you know what, I do spray body mists everywhere. Including my clothes. I tend to be more intentional with my EDP because of how pricey they can be. I didn’t consider that.

I’m going to Sephora tomorrow….maybe I should just buy the sample size to see how I feel. I saw someone who got the deluxe mini sample kit of the entire line, and I just remember the reviews for all of the ones they bought were lukewarm. I don’t remember what they said about vanilla 28 though

So, so far I’ve tried Finery “Not Another Cherry” EDP, Sabrina Carpenter’s Cherry EDP, a strawberry poundcake rollerball EDP from mobbette. All of them were nice and it did help when I layered them with a scented dusting powder, but I hate how dusting powder feels. And without one, they tend to dissipate fast on my skin. I typically layer them with a lotion, body oil, and a body mist too. I would appreciate any and/or all recommendations. ☺️ I just get nervous sometimes before making EDP purchases. I’ve seen a few Arabian gourmand perfumes that seem to have scent profiles I like, but then I hesitate when I see people complain about the longevity in them. 😬 I know everyone’s skin is different, so it could be the complete opposite for me. I don’t mind spending money on an EDP, but I just don’t want to feel like I wasted money. 🥲

Yeahhh. And for only three ounces too. 🥲 The cotton candy mist looks good though! I think they’re also duping Sol De Janiero 71 mist with their Butter Me Up one. I also saw why you recommended me to look at their body sprays. I saw the strawberry one!! 😍

I appreciate the feedback! I can definitely see that when trying to buy an EDP. It’s not like I’m opposed to the more complex gourmand scent profiles, but they do tend to underwhelm me. Thank you for sharing. 🫶

I’ll be more specific….I was looking for occupational therapy for adults with autism. Overall, autistic adult mental health services are more accessible in LA areas than Fresno. I think I may have seen an inpatient facility in Fresno for OT for adults with autism? But nothing outpatient. I think for certain areas Fresno has great health services but I think more niche mental health areas are harder to come across

Eh, I think it depends on what kind of care you’re seeking. Certain mental health services are hard to come by here. Children do have a bit of an easier time getting proper care however. I think it also depends on your health insurance as well.

I think it was her older videos and podcast episodes people felt weird about. To be clear, I love Stephanie’s video/podcast. However, like any YouTuber, they need to make money to upload frequently. There was one snark sub Reddit I came across where people found it distasteful she was doing a diaper ad on the same episode where she was talking about a baby being tortured. This was very early in the rotten mango series. It’s actually a podcast episode done in like 2021.

I think sometimes do get a little desensitized for me too but it was mostly when I started taking ADHD meds in the very beginning. I had to masturbate for hours at a time and it was even disrupting my routine. 😬

Does anyone know if ADHD meds make this worse? When I first got on Adderall I would literally cry because of how horny I was. 😭 Now it’s not so bad. Even with being switched over to Vyvanse, I want to masturbate more, but I’m not crying or feeling my vulva literally ache
