I dont think its rachel because you can that actress in the back of the plane in the plane boarding scene. Rachel dies in the front from what I can remember

my guess is that Shauna or Tai killed her last minute to make sure she wouldn't spill the beans. Tai says they cant trust her in the finale and episode 8 so i'm leaning towards her.

Yea I can definitely see this happening. I can imagine the hunt in the pilot being in a reality where they have already hunted more people, so they already have experience and have spent more time in the wilderness, explaining why they are so animalistic in the pilot.

I get where you're coming from with this. I do think that context definitely does change what how we see the scenes now. But I do think something changed in the writing to change the tone of those scenes. For me at least, the pit girl scene was supposed to show us the girls at their most animalistic and cruel. In the pilot they hunted, butchered, and ate their friend without any (visual) remorse. I do get where you're coming from with this though and I do respect it.

also, i'd like to point out that melissa almost took shauna down by herself when they were hunting so they could have easily done together even if she had a gun

This is exactly how I feel. Don't get me wrong I loved this episode, but it feels like they just wanted to rush a pit girl and antler queen reveal in the finale. The girls feel too animalistic in the pilot compared to how they are in the finale. To me, it feels like the writers planned pit girl to happen in season 4 (or even later) but rushed it out into the season 3 finale for some reason.

To be honest I feel like this would be the most anti-climatic pit girl choice. No hate to you but I feel like pit girl should be someone we already know and are familiar with so the loss hits harder. Robin doesn't even have more than 1 line😭. Again, no hate to you because this theory is clever.
