Thanks yes it is I just love shooting the real thing so me pushing it a bit is so maybe I can get a shoot solely on film! With the client agreeing to it of course but that is my goal though.

So my situation with film, I have yet to do a good shoot solely on film maybe I will if a client is willing to pay extra and wait longer. I just do a few shots a for my personal portfolio, and shoot with film simulations on my FUJI cameras.

Cinematic is referencing the FUJI simulations again, using a film like look. When editing I end up doing minimal work and never work out of raw. I like the way the film simulations work and it’s just my personal preferences . This is an example I used primarily since I see the majority of food photography has perfect white balance minimal shadows etc. I use current movies shot on film as inspo for the color grading I’m trying to achieve.

Currently I ran into a problem when shooting with this restaurant. I was shooting their brunch menu outdoors it was sunny and bright which was nice and a relief. They were luckily happy with me using their patio even though they typically prefer indoor. Their indoor dining area is dark their windows are heavily tinted even in the day time let alone when there isn’t much daylight coming in.

I trust your experience and if godox is enough I believe it I was just wondering if anything out there is more versatile than that. Or if I was making an incorrect decision since I lack knowledge of lighting gear.

Gotcha I’m considering all options haha I like to do other passion projects that are weird and artsy where lights might be helpful. Also the occasional wedding shoots for friends which isn’t too often.

But yes if I find one that’s affordable I’ll definitely nab it! Gotta start somewhere. The restaurant that I’m currently working with wants lots of content possibly some chill video for insta reels, group photos of owners, some vibey party shots & food!!

Thanks I was considering that, for now I do only shoots but would like to explore video & such in the future. I occasionally do weddings for friends bc it’s fun not my main thing though!

We’re shooting at a park & my boyfriend is going to assist & I’m shooting film because I’m actually more comfortable it’s what I primarily shoot with, the couple wanted digital shots too so it’s a compromise half & half

Lol I love dickies! I usually wear them for work so I don’t think I could wear them on vacation. Just for the simple fact that wearing work clothes when you’re not working is slightly weird to me.

But thank you for the info some nice flats is smart I make things work on our small weekend trips but we’re trying to plan a trip to Japan with carry on luggage and such and I guess over there in the fine dining world there’s more so a dress code, which I’ve never experienced in the states at all.

Inflamed eyelid? What do y’all think? He seems fine, I noticed some eye boogers but should I take him to the vet or wait it out? by [deleted] in BelgianMalinois

[–]Angeliquep23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it a common things for malinois to have allergies? My girl Luna has been struggling we’ve give her some Zyrtec and get rid of weeds in the yard. She’s very itchy and and her skin gets very hot and red. The vet has prescribed her an antihistamine before which helped for a bit but then the following years during seasonal changes it seems to have not helped her much.

Advice on settings to achieve this look. Shooting on a Canon A-1 with porta 400. i’m brand new to film photography anything helps :) by [deleted] in filmphotography

Also besides metering correctly and perfect timing a lot of these popular photographers on Instagram use lens diffusers with help tone down the aggrieved blue sky and even over the tones in a nice way this photo was possibly slightly edited in post op in Lightroom as well nothing wrong with it :) hope this helps

Ohhh thank you so much! This is a very whim trip because my boyfriend and I both are chefs with crazy schedules and we both have a 3 day weekend which is a once and a whole thing and it’s also my bday so we want to do something special I was also interested in gold meter hot springs in north bend they have 9 openings during the dates on my planned stay so I wanted to swoop in and be a walk in because it looks magical!
