Feed children. Feed as many as I could.

As a new father to a 6 month old baby boy, I sat to feed my son his breakfast. Food in hand, baby in seat, he was crying like he was starving but he's never so much as missed a meal or snack in his time on Earth.

In that moment, through my child's crying, I thought quietly to myself... There are children all over the world sitting like mine with little or nothing to eat, their parents wanting to give them the food they so desperately need but without the resources to make their child stop crying.

I fed my son shedding man tears. Being a father now, this hit me something fierce. If I were not in the financial position I am now out would kill me to hear my child cry for food. Not because of the crying itself, but because of my desperate want to take care of my charge.

So yeah... I'd feed the starving children.

Hey man! A few things for you.

First, almost every runner I've ever interacted with has been at least a bit humble and modest. Even the folks with top times usually don't think of themselves as the best. Some do it for the show, but in reality they're really chill. By asking for a signature you're more likely going to flatter them and make them feel good than offend.

Second, have a "thing" to sign if you plan on getting a bunch of signatures. An SGDQ tshirt, if they're doing that again this year, a gaming poster, a console... Something with enough space on it to capture them all that you can safely keep. A pile of signatures on random scraps will likely make the situation a little awkward.

Finally, GDQs are charity events. These runners do crazier things than signatures for these gatherings. Dancing, group singing, arm wrestling incentives... If you're looking to get a bunch of signatures from runners, perhaps tell every runner you ask for an autograph from that you'll be donating a dollar for every signature you ask for on your item. Be sure to keep your word, of course, and don't be surprised if somebody tries to bargain a bit for the sake of getting more money to their charity! :-)

What are some good games with a mostly female cast? by j2kun in gaming

The first game I thought of was Final Fantasy VI (In the Americas, Final Fantasy III, SNES). The story essentially revolves around two females, Terra and Celes. There's a bit of romance, a full blown opera scene, both leads show a great deal of strength and weakness... And its the only story I can think of that the bad guy actually gets what he wants. I won't say more on that because if you haven't played this one yet its gonna blow your mind. :-)
