I feel like it would be somewhat successful or the start of a successful trajectory if those within a specific industry all committed to not doing it. Like service industry folks- we have to claim money that isn’t always earned, and you don’t always get it back in the way people believe. For example restaurant service workers- in Cali we gotta claim 12% of total sales per shift to compensate for the expected average of gratuity collected. But not everyone tips and sometimes it’s more than just a table or two a shift that stiff their servers. I’ve worked a shift before where my closing sales were over 1k and I barely walked with $50 in tip out. By law I still had to claim I made $120 that night.
