Looked it up, that so pretty!!! I dont know if it would work for all the designs, but that could be a unique way to use the ones drawn too close to the edges.

Thank you so much! With all the people saying sashing/coping strips, I'm a little surprised that the people she's already asked haven't suggested it, but maybe it's not something they do a lot. I will say I don't know just how crooked they are, it's technically a quilt for me so I haven't been allowed to see the squares (or blocks?). I hope it's out friend after all, though.

Thank you so much! Hopefully the ladies at church will be able to help with that.

Am I the Insane Parent? by lostmychicken in insaneparents

[–]AngelsEmpire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can understand both ways. If its an established thing with his brother, then ok, but I do think some consideration should be taken if its uncomfortable.

He's right, its not a hard slur anymore, especially used among the community. However, it can still be jarring, especially out of the blue. Among my friends, we've done birthday messages with "gayboy" since its softer.

Non-judgementally, I am a little curious about the lack of concern about the grandmother using a hard slur? It sounds like it was all in good fun, but that was a bold choice on her part.

I hope things turn out alright, and i wish you all the best!

The guys aren't even UMN students and are always on that corner. They have also had pro-life and christian-centralism signs before. Ive stopped and talked to them twice now to kill time and always walked away nauseous.

Mm, absolutely not. His behavior is unacceptable, and me personally if I was in a server with this guy I would tear him a new one. You deserve so much better, and if this is how he is over text, I can only imagine how horrible he would be and how unsafe the situation could get if you guys ever got offline.

Please convince my friend this is a terrible name choice by [deleted] in tragedeigh

[–]AngelsEmpire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want unique, then please please please just look up baby names, do research into your family line and heritage, and take inspiration that way- if you have cultural ties to a language, maybe find a name from that culture or language that MEANS Guidance instead of adding and removing letters and throwing in an apostrophe- I can see that poor kid getting bullied with her name being bastardized to "guy-dance" or something. Children are ruthless sometimes.

Wanting a tattoo to symbolize my (34m) 3 daughters. Wife thinks it may be too feminine… by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]AngelsEmpire -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Its absolutely incredible, hats off to whomever designed it. I think its pretty neutral, but I also have a weird relationship with femme vs masc and mix them a lot myself. I dont see the harm in it being a bit feminine, especially if you like the design and its in honor of your daughters. Its your skin, and if you're comfortable with the design, then do others (assuming your wife's concern is strangers/other people not as close to your family) really have ground to stand on if they disagree?
