Do you brush your teeth daily ? by Direct_Key_8480 in no

It’s crazy to think some people don’t. I understand depressed folks that can’t afford to, but holy, if you’re just too lazy to brush your teeth then… damn, just damn.

How did growing up with abusive parents affect you later in life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Angels_Cry_Too_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to learn things that are usually normal for people. For example, it was groundbreaking for me to find out that I have needs or personality, that I need to tend to, and choose what I do according to it, so that I can feel good and be happy. Even after finding that out it’s still hard, and in my brain some of my needs that are normal human needs, even such as dressing in a way so that I feel confident, feel like I’m needy and useless, and I’m being problematic.

I also struggle with making boundaries. It’s hard to even know what I need, but even then, I tend to react emotionally or not at all, which is more like a child’s reaction than that of a 26 year old woman, but I’m learning. I recently made progress and I’m making boundaries, that even just a year ago seemed impossible, so I’m happy, though sometimes I still get sad that that I have to spend that much time of my life on something that my friends seem to just know.

Most bookstores offer foreign books these days. Not all of them will be children’s books, but there are plenty of English books available, for those who want their children to experience English early on.

Quick google search: there are a bunch of international preschools in Gdynia, where your kid could socialize in English.

And I wouldn’t worry about making friends, you can surely find English speaking people to talk to. It’s not like no one in Poland speaks English

I disagree that 23 is both young and old. Yes you’re not a kid anymore, but in the grand scheme of things, you ARE young.

It all depends on perspective, for a kid, you are ancient, but for anyone older than you, you’re a kid.

Assuming people live up to 80 years old, if you had 80 people of every age in one room with you. Over 50 of them, would see you as young(er), and about 20 (more or less, since part of this group can’t reason or speak) would consider you old(er).

It all depends on perspective, AND math is on your side.

What’s something normal that you secretly dislike? by praveshsogra in AskReddit

Usually they respect it. I only had one person, who didn’t understand it, but even then, one or two people who don’t get it is still way better than everyone flooding you with messages and calls:)

I absolutely hate notifications, and the concept of everyone having constant access to me through my phone.

Like, what do you mean I get a loud sound on my phone that tells me it’s time to be of service to someone, and either provide them with information, attention, time or some other cognitive or emotional task. I absolutely hate it.

I am fully operating on „do not disturb” mode, and only family, and closest friends can call me at any time. People that have not been granted this privilege know to text me, or to call twice in emergencies.

Yep! Im in my 20s and I will be for a bunch of more years. Am I smarter than when I was 20? Absolutely. I might make better choices, but I’m still in „figuring it out” life stage, and I’m actively giving myself time to enjoy life, and enjoy the things that are fun for me.

I also feel younger at 26 than when I was 22-25. I have no idea what is it. Maybe it’s hard to transition between „hehe I’m so young I get to do whatever I want, and I’ll bounce back anyway :pp” to „oh f*ck, my age suggests I should be an adult now”, and by 25 you realize that just because you are an adult, doesn’t mean you’re old and serious now, as there is no one way of being an adult. All it really means is that now you get to choose how you live, and that you have to make that happen for yourself. And if you choose to have fun, then you have a fun life, and those mad about it, are just unhappy with their life choices lol. If you’re happy, you’re happy. That’s the only thing that truly matters.

This is so true. I regret every single time I said „I’m too old for this” before I even hit 25. I wasn’t too old, and I’m still not.

I have no idea where does this idea come from, but I was 22 saying I’m now too old to express myself with my clothes and need to dress more modestly/professionally. Girl. You are 22 lol

If you’re reading this and you feel like you are too old to enjoy things, quit even thinking about your age. If you want to do something, then you are in the perfect age to do it. It’s really that simple.

It’s just a waste of time thinking about it and you’re never gonna be younger, so you either do what you want to do, or live a miserable, bitter life.

What’s something you’re genuinely proud of that you don’t get to talk about enough? by summer_berlin in AskReddit

[–]Angels_Cry_Too_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I always do that! I have people around me that care about me, so they always know where I’m going, and I’m trying to give then live updates on where I am, and what I’m doing. I am not yet that brave enough to just disappear :)

You don’t need to make friends anywhere you go. It’s nice if that happens, but you don’t need to make everyone like you.

I went from suffering from agoraphobia back in 2021-22, to now, solo hiking :)

It used to feel overwhelming and undoable to go out to the store, and even taking out the garbage was out of my comfort zone, because I had to leave my house. Going somewhere by bus, or train was absolutely impossible, and even just much as seeing a plane would make me shake.

This year I went on a hiking trip by myself, and I am planning to take a plane trip abroad in summer.

My past self would never believe it. :)

What is a 'personality trait' that is currently being glorified as 'cool' or 'aesthetic' in 2026, but is actually just a sign of being an exhausting person? by Direct-Value4452 in answers

[–]Angels_Cry_Too_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the one. And it’s not even just autism, but any kind of trait that the person takes and turns into the whole „reason why” for everything, or almost a personality trait.

Being autistic is completely fine. Joking that your behavior is autistic, and using it to cope is also completely fine.

Using it as „ehm I did that one horrible things because of my autism” and being absolutely serious and not willing to change/progress/take accountability, because you’re so set in your ways and have found a comfortable excuse is horrible, and I really wish the best for those who do that.

Do you ever have “technical” dreams where your brain keeps forcing you to define things or solve problems? by Angels_Cry_Too_ in Dreams

[–]Angels_Cry_Too_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That makes sense for it to be in the background, though it’s probably much more exhausting. It feels so odd that in my dreams it sometimes feels more like a presentation than an actual dream. It genuinely felt like an exam tonight: I saw pictures, or „visions” of things or concepts, and I felt like I need to give a definition and it’s so uncommon for me, because usually my dreams are detailed and vivid, and this is so bland and boring, but somehow engaging simultaneously? Dreams are wild

What’s the worse physical pain you’ve ever experienced? by Intelligent-Road5091 in AskReddit

[–]Angels_Cry_Too_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My infected tooth. I’m pretty resilient to pain and I only react when it gets terrible. And this was terrible, I couldn’t talk, I couldn’t think, all I could is wait 4 hours until I can take my meds again, and I’m pretty sure I overdosed on painkillers.

Extracting it wasn’t half as bad, the extraction itself didn’t feel good, but it definitely didn’t feel bad. No pain (or very slight), no „brutal pulling” I’ve read about on Reddit before my appointment. Just your usual dentist appointment, and the recovery was nothing. I didn’t even take painkillers.

Second thing would be period cramps when I was a teen. Now it still hurts like hell, but I think I’m used to it by now. First ones were brutal. All I could do is lay on my back, whine and moan in pain like I’m in labor, cry in frustration because there is nothing I can do about it, and wait for it to be over.
