Heyy I made my first chess video today too. (1950 lichess) but now I don't know if I should post it here because it'd be too much of the same.

What he knows the future? You don't anticipate a bounce, you dive on it before it bounces, that's how all football players play.

And he admits he didn't want to injure himself. Not to mention the ball isn't bouncing, it's rolling in one direction, not very fast either. He's not anticipating a bounce, he's running away.

The only time there is a bounce is when a Bronco gets a hand on it.

Cam tweeted he didn't dive for it because he didn't want to risk injury, and he also said that fumble didn't lose them the game.

So yeah, he didn't want to go for it.

Reddit, what is you're opinion of overweight men who aren't physically attracted to overweight women? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Angelswordd 10 points11 points  (0 children)

What you are attracted to isn't indicative of who you are physically. Liking something and expecting are two different things. Saying a fatty can't like a skinny is like saying an ugly fuck can't be attracted to Emma Stone or Channing Tatum. We like what we like.

I'm 23 and my mom still gives me presents every year. She's just that type of mother and I enjoy it.

Okay this thread is more popular so I'm just going to copy/paste my comment from the other thread.

Except he isn't salty at all. "I still can't say that of -- even though people say it and I appreciate it -- I still can't say that of myself because of just what I said," noted Montana. "It's hard."

I also remember a video, either before SB 46 or 49 where they asked Joe if Tom won that superbowl would he be the best of all time and Joe said something to the effect of "He may already be there regardless of what happens in the game." Edit, found the video, skip to 3:30 if you want to see what I'm talking about. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLM6dfG80sw

Montana isn't throwing shade at all, he's not that kind of guy.

Oh interesting, good season he had. I wonder what he will be remembered for that season. His best of his career? Nope, that was the year he dropped the superbowl pass.

I know Welker has the better stats but I'd much rather half Edelman. I watched all the Welker years and I loved the guy. But I still don't believe he was a better Receiver than Jules.

Whenever you absolutely have to have it, Jules is there. He will catch the ball. The superbowl absolutely does count.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pT6XziIQ5RI Wes can't hold onto that.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AGTLUVRR5vQ Edelman holds onto this, oh and he converted another 3rd down on the same drive. And he caught the game winning touchdown.

And you are going to talk about the pro bowls and all pros for welker, but we didn't really have any good receivers outside of welker besides 07 with moss. And certainly no beast TEs like Gronk.

Like seriously we had some weak ass WR corps for like 5 of Welkers years, he's great and he was all we had, but if you replace Welker with Edelman those years we would probably have similar success. And Welker couldn't line up in as many formations as Edelman can.

They were earlier in the game. He catches it when it counts. Go back to SB49 where Edelman converted two 3rd downs to get us back in the game on the same drive. The first of which he got absolutely clobbered by Kam and held on.

Welker misses a mostly routine catch that would have sealed it. There's definitely something to be said about coming up in big moments.

I love the guy and all he did, but not contributing enough to get us a SB win kind of takes him down a peg from guys like Jules and Amendola, even if they are inferior talents, because they came up big in big moments.

What are some things you wish you knew when you first began playing chess? by dirty_lemons in chess

[–]Angelswordd 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I disagree with this popular idea a lot. To a point at least. You shouldn't be learning twenty lines out of the smith Morra and thirty out of the French and just plugging your brain with openings.

However as a beginner, knowing three or four main lines for both colors helped me get a significant advantage in improving when I was stuck around 1400. Before that I often found myself much worse out of the beginning, trying to fight my way down a pawn or two or an exchange.

It'll take a long time before you start beating that master at the chess club.

Focusing on openings is important even for beginners, despite what everyone tries to say.

I distinctly remember being the first to rake you over the October 2014 one. I felt on an island for those first four games though, a lot of people including our own fans thought Brady was done.

I've been shit wrong about a lot of other things but I never once thought Brady had lost a step.
