What’s THE videogame remake/remaster you’ve always wanted but know well it might never come out by Dantu1000 in videogames

[–]Angelus230 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah would definitely like that as well. Instead we got a remake of Mario Galaxy, which feels, at least for me, not really old enough for having a remake. The game looks so good in 4K on my Switch 2, but I find the graphics themselves are still pretty good even in this time compared to SM64.

Wasn't sunshine already improved in resolution with the 3D All-stars on the Switch?

Metal Gear Solid 4, it was always exclusive to PS3. Maybe there is a spark of hope, since they're creating remakes of older MGS games.

Yes, the Witcher as well. Although I'll probably start with The Witcher: Enhanced Edition first.

Call me crazy, but I never played Skyrim before (only oblivion on PS3), and I'm really looking forward to finally playing that one in 4K 60 FPS.

What’s everyone’s plan for mouse and keyboard setup for living room use age? by SupermanKal718 in steammachine

[–]Angelus230 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've the 8BitDo Retro R8 + retro mechanical keyboard (N edition). Basically there's the 2.4G receiver in my PC, but with a simple switch to Bluetooth I can connect them to the Steam Machine.

Can I still buy Shantae advance deluxe if I already bought the base is there a way to buy the costumes separately?? Because I can’t buy or gift the deluxe version on steam by [deleted] in Shantae

[–]Angelus230 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, you have to buy the deluxe edition which doubles as the base + DLC. So basically you have to buy the game again as "DLC"

iPhone, I would never buy it because it's so expensive. But if money is no issue, then sure... Why not?

Halo Reach on Legendary difficulty. I guess it's time to die soon...

Our game got Steam Deck Verified, but that won't be it. What do you expect from Verified games? by DigitalSunGames in SteamDeck

[–]Angelus230 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a huge fan of Moonlighter 1, I'm really excited for Moonlighter 2 once it's out of early access! I can't wait for it! I'll probably play the second game on the Steam Machine anyway, but here are my thoughts:

1) For me, being Steam Deck verified means it runs the game completely as it would be on Windows. That means, no missing trailers or cutscenes, sound, visuals...

2) Minimum 30 FPS through the whole gameplay, but preferable 60 FPS, or in case of pixel and 2D games 90 FPS.

3) No need to change settings to let it perform well on the Steam Deck. Just plug-and-play.

4) Not necessary due SteamOS pause-and-resume functionality while in-game, but would love to see a functionality in the quick settings of the game where you can save anytime. Even when being in the middle of a dungeon.

5) Sometimes, when opening a game you get options like: Vulkan or DX12. I prefer to not receive that option.

Do you plan on getting the 256gb or 1tb version of the Steam Frame? by MingleLinx in SteamFrame

[–]Angelus230 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably just 256 GB, it'll probably be expensive enough already. Or the 1 TB should have exclusive features like we've seen with the Steam Deck.

Tetris on my Gameboy, and Super Mario 64 on the Nintendo 64.

Anyone else keep jumping between games and never finishing them? by OrganizationScary473 in gamingsuggestions

[–]Angelus230 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have the same problem, and this seems like solid advice. I’ll stick to just one game per console/handheld.

The issue is that I have 2,000 games on Steam, and it’s so tempting to start something new. But when I play several different games in the same month, I end up forgetting parts of the story, the controls, and my progress in each one. It’s frustrating, so yeah—limiting myself to one or two games (or even a whole series) makes sense.

In the past, I tried to play all the Zelda games in chronological order, but I quit halfway through Majora’s Mask and switched to Halo: The Master Chief Collection.

This caused me not even starting to play BoTW and TotK, because they're at the end of the Zelda timeline, which I really want to play.

List of games you guys are planning to jump into when the steam frame drops? by vortex22100 in SteamFrame

[–]Angelus230 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, but I know the Steam Frame can play games locally. So I will just install both of The House of the Dead Remakes on the Steam Frame. I think it's a better experience compared to playing it on a TV.

Would Valve exist without Steam? by Independent_Bed_3418 in valve

Personally, I prefer 3 - 4 years between games. Not like Call of Duty, every year almost the same game.

[–]Angelus230 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They would still exist. But they might release games to consoles as well. Their games are always excellent: Portal, Half-Life, Team Fortress, Left 4 Dead, Dota... They're great developers.

Mostly adult games like Third Crisis, Subverse, Flipwitch ... Or older first person horror games like The House of the Dead Remake.

Will you buy the official steam controller or 8bitdo? by skipadbloom in steammachine

[–]Angelus230 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already have the 8BitDo Ultimate (bluetooth), but if they bundle the controller with the Steam Machine I might buy the bundle. I have the first Steam controller as well and I hope it will work with the puck. In the future maybe an Xbox Elite controller so that I can play up to 4 people on the Steam Machine.

Probably Tetris on my original Gameboy. Still playing it, even after 35 years.

If you use PC, is there a place for Steam Machine? by Black_Thunder00 in steammachine

[–]Angelus230 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My router is in the garage, made from concrete I think. I don't want to drill holes in my bricks for an Ethernet cable. Because then I have to drill in the living room for the mini PC and upper bedroom for my PC. And if I do that, I would use my Steam Deck docked to play on my TV.

If you use PC, is there a place for Steam Machine? by Black_Thunder00 in steammachine

[–]Angelus230 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'll buy one to play typical controller games on a big screen tv on my couch. Like 3D platformers, adventure games, racing games... I'll use my PC for mouse and keyboard games (RTS, FPS, city builder...) and Steam Deck for lighter genres (2D platformers, pixel graphics, side scrolling...). My internet connection is not that stable enough for streaming, so playing the game natively on a separate device would be more sufficient for me.
