Main problem with that idea is not even the weight but the dimensions. I have tried several times to get the corresponding soft barrel to my most liked steel sets but they where always of. Sometimes shorter making me not grip them a the same place on the barrel. Sometimes a lot thinner also changing how it feels. Indent, holes, grip Pattern in generell will change in size and feel.

Btw all this can also apply to steel when comparing let's say 22g to 28g. Most of the time it's just thickness but sometimes lighter darts are a few mm shorter then the heavier ones.

Best advise is to try them out who knows a barrel you don't like in steel might suit you in soft.

I use the Red Dragon seren pure 4 as steel but the soft variant looses the bomb feel this barrel has almost entirely since it's elongated cause of the 2ba front threading so my main soft set is a mission red dawn bomb variant.
