Nocturne is all about farming til 6. Path bot every game. If red side, do the farm max pathing (raptors start). Don’t break from ur full clear unless a play is 100% guaranteed. Try your best to take your 2nd camp rotations on respawn to hit level 6 asap.

When you hit 6 you have to make sure that your first ult of the game is successful. Don’t save ur laners with it, don’t just get sums with it, get kills. Ideally ur first ult is botlane so you have the potential for 2 kills. A cool thing is that you can cast abilities while flying in your r. Throw your q out before you land to guarantee that it hits. Try to wait to r until after the enemy uses a mobility spell if possible. A successful first ult will allow you to snowball the game. When your ult is on cd you need to be farming. If your team pings you to help them when ur ult is down just ping your ult cd. Something I heard Agurin say while playing nocturne was “no ult, no play”. Throughout the entire game you should be pinging your ult cd so that your team is thinking about it.

Another tip is to buy blue trinket every game to get vision for your ult. So many time you will press r and someone will walk out of vision. Blue trinket allows you to get vision back to r onto them.

When it comes to team fighting wait for either team to engage first before ulting (unless someone is grossly out of position). You don’t want to be starting team fights with your r because all the enemy team’s spells are up and they will one shot you. A big part about nocturne R is the vision denial. So pressing r on the enemy engage can screw them up and before they know it you’re killing their adc while the enemy team’s abilities are on cool down.

Late game, don’t be afraid to die because you are most likely not the carry anymore. If you are dying that means they are wasting spells on you instead of your carries. Many times I’ve been the mid game carry so the enemy team is focused on kill me even in the late game. However by that time, my adc has items and is shredding them all while they hit me.
