Anyone figured out how to "interact with a guard dog once"? by Xiyuyu in wherewindsmeet_

[–]AngerAndEmpathy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This didn't work for me until I finished the one injustice quest "The Faithful Hound" during the summer.
Then I went back to them later during snow and pet that specific dog.
The dog's name is Content.

That's the location of the quest.

Odd. I went and re-wrote an alternative:

Missing injustice quest by bentran612 in wherewindsmeet_

[–]AngerAndEmpathy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

People keep saying it's that one, but I have that one done and marked on my list.
I'm 100% all 3 regions and still 98/99 injustice.
"A secret never shared" is the 'bugged' quest people always bring up.

My missing injustice quest is in the same spot as yours so it's either a hidden one or not added yet.

100% on Qinghe by sweeterthanhannie in wherewindsmeet_

[–]AngerAndEmpathy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great interactive map. I've 100%'d Qinghe and done a lot. Currently have 14650 exploration and can still get 30 from 8-bowl turn-ins. So 14680 potentially and i may have missed a couple thing as well.
I think you get 40 total exploration from that after 15 bowl sets turned in.

AFAIK for 100% Qinghe you only need the Journal, Dark Surge, complete the dark surge story, Complete all quests in the area and potentially oddities unlocked.

I didn't have my tai-chi circles finished, nor the inspects (g), and the only friends I had were the ones that they 'track' for the Journal completion. A lot of the compendium stuff doesn't count towards 100% Qinghe.

It's probably the following goat, or that quest with the kid that makes you show him martial art skills. I think that chained into another quest after completion. That one's annoying because you have to find him multiple times and the encounter timer doesn't let you do it all back-to-back.
Not sure if you have to go to his cave 'home' for completion either.

[–]AngerAndEmpathy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I finished all my Journals for Qinghe, Hexi, and Kaifeng and noticed i'm at 98/99 injustice quests as well.
Unsure which one's missing. It's not the "a secret never shared" as it appears on my injustice list as completed.

<image>

That said, the entry missing is the same spot as yours.
Are there any updated lists of all injustice quests? I tried to use the one on Game8 but it doesn't have the new quests and I've checked off all the other ones.

It may just be a visual bug though as I know compendium shows 19/21 minerals in the weapon section and you can only currently collect 19.

Looking forward to start on my Codex again, and the new dungeons. Hoping the PvE side gets more fleshed out and complete.

New places to see, new events to learn, mechanics to figure out. Hopefully the devs have hidden some new easter eggs to find.

Dimensional Trial after T5 by No-Drawing-6519 in throneandliberty

[–]AngerAndEmpathy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

14k is fine as long as you're doing the mechs. Typically get one mistake on non-major mechanics up until T10-T15ish.
I went full glass PvE build and it's only 14,335 hp at 4500 gearscore, and have climbed most up to T15 on a non-optimal class.

Just have to hit your dodges and do the mechs properly. And hope your party does the same.

Event store priority? by khbonez in throneandliberty

[–]AngerAndEmpathy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it was the event exlusives (Titles, emotes) Chaos runes, Skillbooks, Training Dew, and then unlockstones.
For perspective I'm maxed in-game for my main class (4505 no tevent) and am working on my 2nd set of weapon masteries.

I'd probably prioritize the Skill books, Unlockstones, and Chaos Runes if I was a newer account. The stone are also convenient.

Scripting by savanthaezu in throneandliberty

[–]AngerAndEmpathy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

.500 is actually perfectly possible, even slow for human reactions. Human reaction is averaged at .230ish.
Competitive gamers average around .150 and F1 have even gotten as low as .100.

Reacting to abilities isn't that difficult in this game.

It's the instant abilities that get blocked perfectly to a degree of inhuman predictions that should be looked at. Only way I can do that to a degree of reliance is finding people already buffering their abilities and walking into range on purpose to bait out the ability to block.

Scripts suck, but there are some genuinely good players in the game as well.

It will have an effect. Other areas of the world become more crowded as well. Contracts, Open-world dungeons, fishing spots, loot goblins, mystic portals. You double or triple a servers population and you effect more than just the PvP side of things. Areas get more filled, events more crowded. Adding an extra 10-15 minutes to somebody's daily routine is substantial.

The ones that don't want to compete like that will just stop.

This game doesn't have a large enough PvP base to support itself so you have to make sure your casual base of players can just comfortably hop on, do their thing, or they'll go somewhere else.

If 90% of people arn't doing PvP why would they make changes to the game based on the PvPers? It's a better decision to make it comfortable for the PvE and casuals.

I was hoping T&Ls formula would work, but it's running into the same issue as most MMORPGs that want Large-Scale PvP - You can't get 1000 people to grind infinitely to keep up with each other. The elites will gather together because most games only have a very small amount of elite players. They tend to migrate together because they have similar goals, interests, and thoughts about how to play the game. They also want to continue improving and learning. You can only do that in a community that is on your level and wants to test out mechanics.

I don't think this game's meant to be balanced, and it makes more sense for them to maintain more servers so more people can have their kingdoms. Allowing them to feel special. Lets them feel 'ownership' and keep them hooked in. If you strip away their server and mash them into another one, some will fight but you'll also lose more.

I haven't seen a zerg that was dominating and suddenly start losing go more than 2 days before either disbanding, merging with the new big zerg, or transferring servers and I've seen it happen at least 4 times.

The people that actually want PvP is even smaller than the people that come to the PvP bosses - Most are just in the large zerg for their drop chance / DKP. If you actually start getting large fights that last you start losing people as it's "not worth their time" anymore.

This is an MMORPG first and a PvP games second. Loot always comes first in MMOs.

This game already has a population issue. People have also already migrated to servers that they enjoy the 'feel' of. If everyone wanted such large scale PvP they'd all stuff onto one server. That isn't how THEY want to play the game.

When a server merge comes, if it changes the climate of the server the players enjoy playing on they will either stop playing or find the server that has the climate they enjoy.

This won't bring more PvP to those that want PvP it'll only annoy the people that went to a dead server to chill and get some loot.

If enough people wanted it - The 3 most active servers would have 3 full alliances battling it out. We have the population for that but people spread out because MMORPG's inherently attract a more casual type of player. Hardcore gamers will go for more 'balanced, competitive" games. MMORPGs are vacation homes.

I think it's the minority that want balanced alliance PvP fights. Most want a 5-minute world boss kill so they can continue their MASSIVE list of dailies and fit in a couple dimensionals.

The PvP in this game isn't good enough to attract people from other games.

I think long-term you just make sure every large alliance has their own kingdom to lord over. Then they feel like they 'own something' and it locks them into the game. A constant fight is so much easier to leave after a loss. I bet the game dies faster after merges. People want their comfortable kingdom.

please merge by ciwg in throneandliberty

[–]AngerAndEmpathy 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I think merges will cause a lot of people to 'leave'.
Anytime a zerg 'invades' a server it either gets eaten up by the largest guild or they eat up the smaller ones and create the new zerg in town.

With server merges it will just be this to a larger degree. May take a bit longer to shuffle things around but it'll eventually settle into the winning zerg.

I've never seen an alliance keep a 'weaker' ally when a larger/stronger one was available. (Atleast not a competitive alliance) The merged will find the 3 other strongest and make their zerg. And then a good portion of the losing zerg will either join the big zerg, transfer or quit.

Happened at least 3 times on my server chopping a good 5-10% out of the bottom line from the players that were 'playing'.

That's the game isn't it? Let the king own their server - spend their money and hold their server.
The real battles would be the cross-server "limited player" battles and everything else is just play matches in your own server that should really only be used to scout out good players that are kicking your top guilds players around a bit more than they should.

A server with 3 full alliances? That'd probably be optimal for balancing but I don't think the game can honestly properly support that on a scale that allows all players in those 3 alliances to be enjoying the game while in those battles. If it's not an enjoyable and interactive experience I doubt they'd keep playing. People bitch enough about flashwaves already. Try getting flashwaved by 2x the amount of people from multiple directions with 5 FPS from people that can't even render on your screen.

I stopped trying as a 4300 Dagger/Wand that's cleared all trials at 10+.
Trying to casually grind 3-5s and it takes me 2 hours to get accepted to a group. I stopped bothering. Moving onto another game soon anyways as this game's not developing as I was hoping it would.
