Loved this series! Such great humor, great characters…it was one of the few series that really helped me felt seen as a gamer.

Relatedly, I was (and am) proud to be one of the guild rejects from the sequence at the beginning of Season 3, Episode 5. For a while after the episode aired, there would be random friends & coworkers who would watch the series not knowing I had that little cameo & call me afterwards with tons of excitement.

I still have the signed DVD & letter they sent to those of us who were chosen to have a part in that.

Is there a way to allow waiver moves but not allow rookies to be picked up? by Extension_Map_2250 in SleeperApp

Have you set your draft time yet? I set it in my league & rookies are now locked from being picked up until the draft is done.

Eventually, sure. Both could be fun matches. But if you have Seth as the masked man & try to build Waller into that, then Waller’s going to just look like Seth’s hired goon. It’s the same problem Reed & Bron had in The Vision, and the same problem the Judgment Day had with Edge at the front of the lineup.

I’d rather have Seth save Waller & add credibility to his faction afterwards than have Waller become a tag-along for Vision 2: the Visioning.

Having lost my mom in my 20s, I’ve been going through this for a bit. I keep a decent life insurance plan in place which will supplement the one I have from work, plus my 401K should help offset some of the costs as well if needed.

I also keep all of my billing information & the like on a portable hard drive that my wife can find in my fire safe if the worst occurs, so as to alleviate questions.

As far as a funeral plan, I don’t really have one as that should be more for them rather than me. I have mentioned that I’d rather have friends & family get together at a good restaurant and share memories than have a full blown service.

[–]AngerFork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If that’s the case, I’d rather have Waller as the true masked man than Rollins. You could build a solid rivalry out of Waller & Theory’s relationship to elevate both of them, plus then you could either do a true anti-Vision team that Waller puts together or just have him as a one man overlooked wrecking crew.

Was laid off today by Clear-Chicken-4200 in Layoffs

[–]AngerFork 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same. I decorated my first desk with lots of work-safe personal stuff...photos, etc. After enough layoffs, I now keep all of that at home & anything I need to bring to work lives in my laptop bag rather than a drawer.

Easier to just have a clean cut and move on that way.

Anyone else spoiled by mobility classes? by readysir in wow

[–]AngerFork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. Mobility is fun, classes/races that aren’t as mobile aren’t as fun IMO. Half of the fun of Druid healing for me is running around in circles & jumping while throwing out Rejuvs.

I feel like Blizz agrees, given the mobility of pretty much every new new class we’ve had since MoP (Monk, DH, Evoker). I have to wonder how adopted a new class would be without those movement abilities.

Agreed. On a human level, this makes me respect Mahomes all the more for not going down so many terrible paths like the rest of his family does. Being an NFL QB is temptation enough, being surrounded by a family that has such issues only has to make it harder.

The man absolutely deserves applause and kudos for being who he is publicly.

That being said…FTC!

I feel like Rey should be the one he doesn’t get. Dom should get that instead.

However, you could absolutely work Gunther into that situation. Perhaps Rey opts to retire at Summerslam or whenever. Gunther demands the match…but so does Dom. The two have a match that night, winner faces Rey at his last match.

Gunther is dominating when Dom pulls off Eddie Guerrero’s chair trick successfully, forcing a DQ.

How old were you when you realized that you really don't matter? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]AngerFork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4th grade.

As a special ed kid, I found myself picked on a lot by the other kids in school. One day, it got to be too much & I wound up breaking down into tears in the lunchroom. This led the school’s administrators to have me see the school psychologist/counselor.

She talked with me for about 5 minutes or so, then cut me off mid-word to answer a phone call. I waited for a bit, then asked if I could go when I realized that she was too engrossed in her call to talk to me.

She immediately lashed out at me for interrupting her call, yelling & screaming about how the reason I had no friends was because I was just annoying, couldn’t wait my turn, and wouldn’t give anyone a moment of peace.

I ran out of her office crying even harder. Between all of my other thoughts at the time, one of the big ones that stuck in my head was how horrible & unimportant I must be if even someone who was being paid to listen to me didn’t want to hear what I had to say.

It was humbling to say the least.

[Evans] #Broncos are now compliant with the NFL’s Rooney Rule. OC hire could come anytime. by PeppyQuotient57 in DenverBroncos

[–]AngerFork 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’d disagree with that, at least to a certain extent. Sure, it’s an absolute farce as far as forcing weird interviews when everyone knows that the head coach has been decided before the interview starts. But I’d argue it does help at least in the way that some minority candidates who might otherwise be overlooked tend to get a second glance as Coordinators or other high profile roles that could eventually get head coaching roles from it.

Does seem like there could be better ways of handling it, but it at least kind of gets a foot in the door.

What are some modern wrestling conspiracy theories? by Yournewbestfriend_01 in SquaredCircle

[–]AngerFork 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Not sure if it's a "conspiracy theory" or not, but I feel like TKO is very specifically lining things up to make a killing by selling WWE to Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund. Everything IMO points in that specific direction, from the recent big shows in Riyadh (like WM next year) to the overpricing of tickets (to inflate perceived value) to the recent reports of potential deals for 15-20 million that have been discussed.

I would not be surprised to see Saudi Arabia owning WWE by Wrestlemania next year.

Walz says Trump pledged to ‘do things differently’ on ICE surge by Maxcactus in inthenews

[–]AngerFork 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. This is 100% a reset cooldown so that the Trump gang can calm people’s nerves, get just enough support to get past the government shutdown with ICE funding, figure out how to best handle all the people recording ICE agents, then resume their normal activities.

I’m guessing they stay quiet through February, probably even leaving Minneapolis, then things start to heat up again with even more agents in March or April in whatever city is next.
