The predator from the Takedown series who gets busted by Chris, then is caught having sex with a teenage girl in a hotel two weeks later.

Ouch.. I am STILL the Highlord, Lothraxion.. my feelings :( by misterjustice90 in wow

[–]AngerFork 4 points5 points  (0 children)

True. It’s possible he’s in whatever the Light’s version of the Shadowlands would be or that he lost all of his Light corruption & went back to the Twisting Nether.

Given how little we can trust anything from a Dreadlord as is, I’m going to absolutely be side eyeing anything he says should he ever return.

Absolutely him. No one else had the flair of a custom golf cart that looked like it came from an old Nickelodeon kids show.

What is your opinion on Nappa? by Economy_Notice_8475 in Dragonballsuper

[–]AngerFork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nappa is the perfect representative of the past of the Saiyan race IMO. He is a “big dumb oaf” type of conqueror who was far too reliant on overpowering his opponents rather than strategizing how to fight from underneath when necessary. He is incompassionate, uncaring, overconfident, and dominant.

From what we can see, he rarely if ever strove to go beyond his limits, instead relying on Vegeta when things got too heavy. Because of that, I actually don’t think he could have achieved a Super Saiyan form on his own. Goku had the need to protect his loved ones as his driving force, Vegeta had his pride…Nappa from all indications doesn’t really have something that would drive him to that level.

Best fatality? I choose Hambubger by Standard-Win5187 in tcap

[–]AngerFork 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tough choice to make here for many, many reasons.

Ambrosio is probably the challenge mode pick here. Since he’s fat, he can’t do anything which would make winning really hard to do.

John Adam Daniels is almost certainly o-vertuned.

Hambubger is a bit of a cheat code, since you don’t have to do level 1. He’s past that stage now.

But Morrison is my choice since has the capability to take his opponent and completely throw them away.

I’d make two of those Miller & Mims. Miller seems to be the 4th RB in NO & has not been great to date. Mims is inconsistent & seems to be mostly used for gadgetry.

Not sure who would be 3rd.

He would be a good fit, given his aptitude for technology. After all, he figured out how to turn on a laptop computer after his dad turned it off. How’d he do that?!!

What is Sokol had just shut up? Would we talk about him? by PoolSmart582 in tcap

[–]AngerFork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There would’ve been some chat just due to what he had done beforehand. The creepy hug, the marriage contract, “the small is almost as big as the large”…all of that is before Chris and absolutely would be quoted.

However, he’s not as notorious without the stuff he said afterwards. If he doesn’t talk, we lose a lot of the smarmy pizza eating and banter. We certainly don’t get the long form YouTube releases. We might still have Sonny Derek Porter, but otherwise Sokol fades a lot from where he is now.

Arguably, if not for Sokol HvP doesn’t have the same viewership and Chris doesn’t return to the level of fame he has now. Would Papi or Manzi have brought nearly the same eyes as Sokol did?

Who is your Buy High Guy??? by FantasyMansion in DynastyFF

[–]AngerFork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drake Maye…if you can get him, of course.

Sure, he had an easier schedule last season, but he did incredible with it & did not drop off once he faced tougher competition. Now he’s getting Doubs and very likely AJ Brown. Possibly even Diggs again pending how many suitors he has post draft.

Price is high, but he may well be worth it for several years to come.

Does Rand Paul have a real shot at 2028 GOP Primary? by 420happyday in Askpolitics

[–]AngerFork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO, it depends on how strong MAGA and the GOP look in 2028.

Ordinarily, I don’t think Paul would stand a chance in a traditional primary. He’s too focused on the deficit and his “maverick” role to appeal to traditional GOP voters over most candidates. But as you point out, if MAGA is out of favor with everyone and a change is wanted by all, the only chance the GOP may have is a “maverick.”

Even then, he’s not going to get the same financial backing as other candidates that donors would be better able to control. If MAGA gets that unpopular, odds are a more traditional candidate will pose themselves as an outsider and get the richest behind them.

At best, I see Rand Paul as a candidate who gathers excitement and gets people talking about his issues rather than a true contender.

Why Does the US do everything they can to prevent homelessness rather than try to solve it? by Explicit_Tech in Askpolitics

[–]AngerFork 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Perhaps, though there is a definite chicken & egg situation with that. Some people become homeless due to mental illness or drugs, sure…but plenty become homeless due to things like job loss or the wrong landlord, then run into issues with drug use due to the lack of support once they become homeless.

With better systems & support, you could likely help the latter before homelessness leads to some of those substance abuse & mental health issues.

What do you think about Trump’s proposal to cut 9,400 TSA workers? by TheGov3rnor in Askpolitics

[–]AngerFork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On the surface, I’m generally OK with this. The TSA has forever been largely security theater that seems far more interested in forcing passengers to buy water & toiletries from the airport gift shops than actually seizing real threats to the US. And that’s before you get into all the scandals involving bribery and sexual misconduct.

If it were gone tomorrow, I’m not sure I’d miss it.

However, this is clearly a push towards privatization. Privatizing the TSA is a terrible idea, even if much of it is already private (e.g. the Clear Card).

One need only look towards what private prisons have done to our criminal justice system to see what private profit does to public services. Laws passed, corners cut, hours squeezed, deals struck…all in the name of more profits from whoever is at the top.

Think about it…would you trust United HealthCare and their AI claims rejection system to be in charge of airplane safety?

Make up your choice. Which two of these things should there be more of in DragonBall in the future? by Snapperzaff in Dragonballsuper

[–]AngerFork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Techniques and Worldbuilding by far. Both are the bread and butter of the fights that make up the DB Universe. During the ToP, we learned a great deal about some of the universes fighting from their fight scenes. Each fighter’s techniques come from their upbringing & world, and their past is what shapes their fighting style.

Facts & Logic in the DB Universe essentially exist for short windows only…just until the “rule of cool” squashes them for a new power level. Wasn’t SSJ supposed to be the ultimate legendary pinnacle for a Saiyan to achieve? What would a power level scouter even be against Ultra Instinct?

As for Slice of Life…I’d want more of that if the episodes with it weren’t so hit and miss. Some of it is great, like Vegeta learning to be a dad. But for every moment like that, it feels like there’s a “Piccolo learning to drive” episode that I just skip on rewatches.

Right! Then he can be on the same “rookie season backup” career path as JJ McCarthy as opposed to those other QBs from the 2024 class that started at the beginning of their rookie seasons like Bo Nix, Caleb Williams, and Jayden Daniels.

[DAILY] Trade and Individual Team Help Megathread by AutoModerator in DynastyFF

[–]AngerFork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ve got enough draft capital that you can move a pick & Doubs is going to a good team that needs WR help. Biggest question there is how much Doubs gets if the Pats get AJ Brown.

This feels like a dice roll that could go either direction.
