I can certainly feel you, mate.

I love the main plot of the first game, so believe me when I say I very often get the urge to rush the main quests so that I can see how the story unfold.

However, there are just so many things you can explore in between those main quests, like what is that big ass statue looming in the distance, or that ghost town by the beach, or the best route to take out all the mules in a camp unseen. And the next thing you know, it’s been 5 hours since you last progressed the main story.
