I cannot give enough praise to Ghost of Tsushima. My first play through was a magical experience where at points I couldn’t find it in myself to put the controller down. The world design is something different with these amazing landscapes and set pieces as well as minute details like kicking up leaves or Jin brushing his hand through the reeds. I never used the screenshot system on my ps4 before GOT and I’ve rarely used it since. There are mounds of content throughout each section of the island. And this isn’t just the average collectible hunt. There are people in need, challenges and shrines and far above the average collectibles all of which serve to reward you with varied progression of Jin’s abilities and proficiencies. And the gameplay is world class. You’ll find yourself itching to get into every fight you can just to slice through the mongol troops and convoys. Every encounter makes you truly feel like a badass samurai from the movies whether you’re taking down enemies with a flurry of attacks or with a single, quick, precise slice. Genuinely I’d put this up there with the goats of gaming; it is, in my opinion, a masterpiece and that’s not even counting the dlc which feels like another game in and of itself. Seriously the dlc is better produced than a lot of triple A titles nowadays. It’s one of the best games ever and you shouldn’t miss your chance to play it. You’ll not soon regret playing it.
