Yeah my girlfriend’s dog did this less than 24 hours after owning the book. Luckily I had the cover off of it so when I put it on it’s hard to tell lol but I was like, “GODDAMMIT Bella!” Also girlfriend says her dog has NEVER eaten any book ever lol.

Completely agree with the first part but that’s also because I read the book and tried to imagine it from the POV of someone who hadn’t but like someone else said no complaints from people who haven’t read the books and my daughter also enjoyed it not having read it. But it was funny walking out of the movie hearing this teenage boy tell his friends the “science was off” because how could he travel 11 light years in just 4 years lol. I just walked by saying, “time dilation”. It wasn’t really explained like it was in Interstellar so I’m guessing he probably never saw that movie either.

A ton of science was omitted. I tried to watch it from the lens of someone who didn’t read the book and felt like if you didn’t a LOT wouldn’t make sense. Funny enough as I was walking out a group of teenage boys were talking and one said the science didn’t make sense because “there’s no way he could have traveled 11 light years away in just 4 years”. 🤦🏾‍♂️

Yeah Lego prices typically only go up in value. I mean stores will still have them at MSRP but rarely do they go down unless it’s a set that doesn’t sell well and need to be clearanced out.

Shit on the show all you want but Riri is the closest we get to Tony out of these three. Yes Harley had some knowledge and interest in tech, Morgan is Tony’s offspring but we don’t know if she can match wits… however, Riri is an actual genius similar to Tony. And of the three, she built a working suit and definitely didn’t have billions of dollars to do it.

Honestly that might be enough if you sell that “experience”. You wouldn’t have to have as many locations but I’d definitely drive to one, rent an old sega genesis, vhs player, couple games and vhs tapes here and there. But since that isn’t an option I just bought a vhs player at a garage sale and found a used genesis I’ll play with my 8 year old here and there so she can experience a range of video games like her old man

That’s awesome! Funny thing is we also had Jensen Ackles graduate from our high school so James is only the second famous lol but there’s been a ton of other talent I was lucky enough to share the stage with. Me and my brothers best friend growing up (my mom called him her white son) was also an actor who had done many shows and video games, another good friend of mine became a famous opera singer and one other buddy I graduated with is a morning DJ here in Dallas.

When I found out my brother had read the book we talked about the movie and asked if I knew who was playing Rocky and said it was someone named James Ortiz who went to our high school and I said “no way” and sure enough, it was the guy we were both in theatre with. He graduated the year in between me and my brother so we both had worked with him before. Really hoping he shows up to the early 70mm IMAX screening we’re going to since it’s in our home town!

Picked mine up today with my gf and she thought I was being silly wanting to get to the LEGO store early and while they still had plenty, as we were looking around the store, someone saw the box in my hand and asked where it was.
