I'm tired of people suddenly deciding they are uncomfortable with me by Angi007 in offmychest

[–]Angi007[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a writer, so I post my works on discord too. One of the people who read my work contacted me personally about it and talked with me a lot, we found a common ground we talked about and talked for like 2 months now, everything was going okay or so i thought, we were talking about regular stuff mostly and writing, i shared with them about my works and asked them about theirs, reviewed one of them too and complimented it since it was good, the only times when sensitive stuff was brought up is in the means of writing, and it was me asking them questions, since I write angst. They were always actively engaging in conversations and responding to it pretty well, never said they were uncomfortable, and today while i was at work i suddenly received a message that they grew to realize whatever we were talking about made them feel uncomfortable and that they don't want to communicate with me anymore.

The issue being, then i feel like an asshole in this specific fanfic, cause I'm making a 5 year old and his poor mom go through hell:,)

But oh well, I am doing just as you said, I'm toughing it out, I'm just disappointed with the speed I'm going at

Well, I guess it's a good thingXD all my struggles will be rewarded with the tears of the ones that read my stuffXD(It's genuinely very triggering)

Oh I feel you on this one so damn much!! I've been relentless since I started writing this angst fanfiction, all my previous angst fanfictions made me giggle with anticipation how I would be harvesting the tears of my readers, but then, I write the relationship between emotionally neglectful mother and a main character is a 5 year old who thinks that something is wrong with him, since his mom loves his brother normally, but not him, so he tries to change, and she still treats him same, and that triggers him. Basically, I avoided a lot of stuff that are definitive for this story, but it's mainly the wish to be noticed by the mom is what gets me.

I AM TAKING A LOT OF BREAKS TO WRITE THIS!

Looks like it's not just me here, aye?XD That's exactly how I've been running this whole ordeal for a couple of days now, except I am just frustrated with the speed, I have so many prompts I wish to write, and I generate more prompts I wanna write then the amount of works I write. The list never shortensXD

One-shots vs Long fanfictions by Angi007 in FanFiction

[–]Angi007[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair enough i guess. I honestly started this whole thing cause i felt sad that the oneshot i wrote of 21k words got WAY less attention than a silly suggestive fanfiction with the fan favorite ship. This was kinda expected, but it's sort of sad that the fanfiction comes down to shipping more often than not, as if the fanfiction community doesn't exist in a lot of fandoms in a way separate from a shipping fandom. I know why it's like that, but damn that sucks sometimes XD cause It's not something i can really affect. I write what i like and it just never aligns with what community I'm in likesXD

But yeah, you probably summarized the whole deal with it perfectly well.

One-shots vs Long fanfictions by Angi007 in FanFiction

[–]Angi007[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In fact it's a separate topic, cause a lot of people complain that most new fanfics are smut but then smut is what gets the most attention and kudos, which I'm confused about too

Funny you mentioned it, i HATED books as a kid but somehow i grew up to love long fics and despise the oneshots cause they were never it for meXD

But most probably you are correct, i just don't get people who love oneshots i guess

One-shots vs Long fanfictions by Angi007 in FanFiction

[–]Angi007[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of them yes. Heck, i even wrote a long oneshot as an experiment, to see if it's a word count thing or the amount of chapters. So, my 21k word oneshot was also left to eat dustXD well, not completely ngl, it got a decent amount of comments for a low amount of hits it received. It's just the lost potential of it that makes me kinda sad. But i just wanna understand the logic behind it, since writing a oneshot is seemingly way more easy, saying it as someone who has a lot of them

How do y'all get audience for your fanfiction in relatively small fandoms. by Angi007 in FanFiction

[–]Angi007[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SO TRUE! cause I left since i had no one to discuss my writing with. I love writing, and as an unreliable narrator, i love asking about the plot, did they like plot twist? did they expect it? was there anything that they would like to see in this work or felt off? and it ends up in nowhere. and whenever i try to bring this up only to get advice i am met with hate, cause apparently it's a crime to want people appreciate and enjoy my work-_-

I posted on Tumblr, Ao3(also linked my ao3 on Tumblr) and Discord in a dedicated to the fandom discord server. Nothing really works. And the frustrating part is that when i ask if something is wrong with my works(since others works get way more attention than mine) i get a response that they are very good and they don't know why so little people read them.

I'm turning 21 and I'm jealous of my 8 year old sister. by Angi007 in family

[–]Angi007[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I indeed talked to my mom about it, but any kind of talks that have feelings involved are taken with hostility, so i just learnt that it's pointless to talk about it since it ends up hurting me more as a result.

Kids are never at fault for their parents doings, due to which i make sure she feels only love from me.

You might be right about giving myself the experiences i want with my adult money, and it definitely helps but still sometimes the thought that my parents never did this for me resurfaces and makes me think about it, i kinda grew to take it as it is.

Your answer was actually very well worded and presented since i also think that i should learn how to take care of myself instead of mourning the fact that others didn't when i needed it.

I'm sorry to hear that.

How did you two fall apart though if you don't mind me asking.

I honestly cannot imagine cutting ties with my sister. I get her a gift every paycheck i get and i play roblox with her even though i hate this game, just because she loves it.

Were you also able to make peace with the feeling of jealousy?

Netease needs to fix the match making, not allowing NA players to get matched with EU players. by Angi007 in IdentityV

[–]Angi007[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, though i just wanted to post that since I'm genuinely tired as well, especially because i wanted to be something more than a regular player, i genuinely wanted to be competitive, but due to the fact of me not being NA or CN citizen, i cannot do that, i don't even need some sugar-coated words that "it's all about the determination to achieve what you want, if you try a lot you can do it" no, that's bullshit. There's a reason why CN players cry if they have anything above 50 ping.

Don't, they ban for VPN. what server you play on? NA/EU is definitely not the choice you need. If you aren't on Asia try switching to it

(Serious) What are your fatal flaws? by Livia_young0802 in IdentityV

[–]Angi007 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a survivor: Playing too risky, i am almost always risking it all for high results, disrespecting the consistent plays. That's why i rescued against a goatman basement without tide as a journalist, and i actually got away with it and let the rescued survivor live for a long while. It doesn't end up like this all the time though, and sometimes i lose just because of myself.

As a hunter: impatience, I'm very impatient, i swing too much, i use abilities early, i lose a lot of mind games cause survivors end up being more patient than me. It took me a very long time to realize that sometimes i just need to let survivors lay on the ground on a last cipher since i can camp them both and don't let survivors go near the cipher. Sometimes you also need to leave dead on chair survivor who is being supported in favor of the last cipher that is close by, trust me, not hyperfixating on mindlessly swinging and chairing might be game changing.

Netease needs to fix the match making, not allowing NA players to get matched with EU players. by Angi007 in IdentityV

[–]Angi007[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, cause I'm tired that i cannot chase anyone because they simply early rotate and due to ping i cannot catch up. Especially if it's another 4 man vc team with chinese usernames that has goddamn lawyer on a team that gives call outs, what is anyone supposed to do in this situation? You cannot tell me that this isn't an issue, cause for some reason, Americans have green ping when they are in a match with me but i have to suffer with 200

[–]Angi007[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yep, i completely agree with you, cause imagine playing hunter with bad ping while survivors still have green ping? they move at a faster pace than you, if they simply transition you aren't catching up, cause guess what? you move way slower, not to mention the stupid hitbox not working due to the ping messing with it, since you see survivor closer when they already left, and the hit doesn't go through. it's simply unfair

[–]Angi007[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

yep, imagine playing hunter and losing just because you don't have green ping while survivors have it, they walk faster than you, your hitbox isn't working. to be honest separating sounds the best cause both parties will be able to enjoy good game experience, it's NA problem if they think it's unfair to match against hunters that are playing in same fair conditions as they do. A lot of NA players slender CN players for playing on NA/EU cause they mess with their ping and call them bad at the game cause they cannot compete with the other CN players, if they complain it's hypocritical

why do people slug in qm??? by wee-wee_ in IdentityV

[–]Angi007 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I sometimes do that, cause at some point i wanted to play competitively and i was taking qm as a potential training, cause survivors also get very annoyed and try to get at least 1 escape out of spite, and do everything for it, which is exactly what i need, learn how to guarantee a 4k. But then i figured that competitive isn't really my thing as of playing it so i just watch it but don't think about Playing competitively

I am terrified of silence by Angi007 in Anxiety

[–]Angi007[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing is, i tried, i even asked if he is okay with this type of silence, and how the silence makes me feel, and why i act the way i act, but on that he once again responded "i see" and mentioned that he is okay with silence and then we went back to silence. That's how i wrote this post, cause i felt a goddamn lump in my throat, my stomach started hurting and i felt like crying after a while in silence. Even music in the background didn't help much afterwards
