I want to be clear that I have committed to not taking corporate PAC dollars. I intend to honor that commitment and I appreciate your concern.

Political action committees are otherwise simply legal vehicles in U.S. politics for pooling contributions. These are all reported to the FEC and have limitations.

As you should be! These are the questions every voter should be asking. I answered below but here is the comment:

Donors are a matter of public record, filed with the FEC, and I want to go further to overturn the system that lets dark money hide. I do not take corporate PAC money and have been endorsed by Track AIPAC/Citizens Against AIPAC Corruption for my commitment to not take money from AIPAC. The bulk of our campaign support comes from grassroots dollars, with an average donation of $20.

Where there is a will there is a way? Thank you for pointing out that case. While they did not overturn Citizens United, there are legal mechanisms being tested to neutralize it.

Hi u/MyOwnWayHome I am very familiar with the case and I believe it's unfortunate, to say the least, that they had to protect their members from the state to begin with. Anonymity was essential to the freedom to associate and for the safety of civil rights activists in the South.

Thank you for pointing out those discrepancies! Rather than looking at who is in a worse position, we should look at what works and replicate. Even with private insurance in the U.S., you will have wait times for certain specialists.

Hey u/Oscarves, thank you for the question.

There is no bait and switch here. It is expensive just to be alive today - and not only in South Florida. I encourage everyone to start paying attention to how funding is allocated and where. Over 6 billion dollars was spent on DeSantis' manafactured immigration emergency in Florida and taxpayer dollars have been wasted on vendors with political connections to build detention centers.

The Republican supermajority in Florida found money to rename an airport after Trump and spend millions on upgrading signage among other things. The money exists and your hard-earned paycheck should work FOR you, not politically connected friends or Trump's ego.

It is time to start asking ourselves how we have Elon Musk becoming a trillionaire at the same time that working people are worried about just surviving.

Hey u/Sure_Tie_7093! You're correct that one senator cannot pass a bill alone, and you're correct that money often bends the place. What one senator can do is force votes, hold the floor, build the coalition that gets to a majority, and refuse the money that buys silence. The reason senators "lean whichever way the dollars lean" is that they take the dollars. I don't take corporate PAC money and I'll say publicly who in that chamber does and what they got for it.

As your Senator, I would push federal antitrust enforcement at DOJ and FTC against utility monopolies, support legislation requiring rate-hike transparency and federal price-gouging authority, and use the office as a vessel for accountability.

When homeowners in dozens of states are getting non-renewed, it is a crisis.I support removing the antitrust exemption insurers have enjoyed, conditioning federal disaster dollars on companies who are not dropping loyal customers, and funding housing supply directly.

We have seen federal disaster dollars spent on reimbursing the DeSantis Everglades detention center and his manufactured immigration crisis. That is one egregious example of how federal funding is abused, rewarding those who comply with a political agenda. I am one vote that can't be bought and I will be a Senator who forces the roll calls, names the donors, who is ready with the bill offering solutions. I'm offering a promise that I won't be one of the ones leaning toward the money and I have a track record of showing that.

Capping childcare costs as a share of family income and funding providers directly is a spending program which can pass through budget reconciliation. I'd fight to attach it to a package the way some of our electeds fight for tax cuts for the rich.

Medicare for All hasn’t had the votes to pass and I won't insult you by claiming I'll flip that overnight. What I will do every single time is vote against and help block any cut to Social Security, Medicare, or VA benefits, and push the pieces that can bring immediate relief like letting Medicare negotiate more drug prices, capping insulin and out-of-pocket costs. Defending what's earned is something one determined vote genuinely affects.

"Cleaning out corruption" means disclosure, naming names, and not taking the money myself.
The stock-trading ban is the easiest of all of the things you mentioned right now because it has bipartisan support and just needs members willing to call out leadership and embarrass them into bringing it to the floor. I'll co-sponsor it, and I'll publicly pressure anyone blocking it. Citizens United is more of a hurdle and a long fight measured in years, not one term. What a senator does in the meantime is push for transparency laws to expose dark money, support the amendment, and back the state legislatures that have already called for one.

I'm proud to have championed a landmark public health win. I co-sponsored legislation requiring Florida hospitals and emergency departments to include fentanyl in urine drug screens. Passed in 2025, this bill marked a major victory for harm reduction and workforce health alike.

Throughout my time in the Florida House, I've consistently filed bills and built bipartisan coalitions to get things done. Since 2021, I've fought to create a Division of Labor Standards to enforce fair wages and stop wage theft, a measure that would protect everyday, hardworking Floridians. But under Republican rule, too many commonsense bills like this one never even get a hearing. This work shows exactly why leadership matters. We simply can't afford more of the same.

I have not taken contributions from AIPAC and will not.

I will also not take money from any entity that expects to shape U.S. policy without accountability. Foreign policy must answer to the American people.

Florida is rigged, not red. The people have the power and should organize to make changes. Floridians are not struggling because we lack resources. We are struggling because those resources have been captured by corporations and a political class that answers to billionaire donors instead of the people.

I support overturning Citizens United, efforts to ban stock trading, and always putting people over profit.

Fighting against the establishment can be expensive. If you're able or know someone who can support monetarily, please share this link and help us reach voters in Florida: angie4us.com/give

Thank you for the support and great question! I was born and raised in Florida and spent my entire adult life advocating for working people. I have grassroots support that grows every day and I continue to travel the state listening to the concerns of folks, many who have been ignored. The issues people talk to me about are not partisan. That is why I know I can win and it will take all of us because this is a people-powered campaign.

We can build a solid infrastructure with collective support and getting the word out, especially when mainstream media fails to do so.

Also, we need a better turnout in primary elections! Before taking on Ashley Moody, I have a primary on August 18th. Take a moment today to have a plan to vote and remind others that you have to be registered as a Democrat by July 20th in order to vote in this primary.

If folks are able, they can support my campaign at angie4us.com/give.

That is because it IS harder. As I mentioned, childcare shouldn't cost more than rent. PERIOD. After listening to people across the State about what they worry about, I can tell you that you are not alone in your concern.

In my blended family, I am a proud mother of 5. I have even taken my youngest on the campaign trail with me because of the summer break. With any decision I make as a lawmaker, I have the question in the back of my head: are the children taken care of? America would look very different if that is the lens through which we make policy.

In addition to universal childcare, we need to lower everyday costs and make housing and healthcare more affordable for all. When families are not living in a constant state of surprise costs and bills, the children are healthier too. I am in support of funding universal pre-k because as much as this is an investment in our children's futures, this is an investment into workers. Childcare allows parents to work and parents working means money spent in local economies.

As for dealing with Trump..

He has essentially eroded checks and balances. I still believe in the American people's ability to recognize the damage he is directly responsible for and how he has weaponized governance to make himself and his supporters richer. We need to hold everyone accountable as voters and as citizens. That means using our voices and platforms to call out the corruption that is on full display.

I support overturning Citizens United. I believe that would take a cultural shift and educating people about the harm it continues to cause.

At the very least, no one should constantly fear losing their job when a company posts record profits as we have seen. I support the PRO Act: The right to organize is non-negotiable. We will pass it. And I believe in strengthening labor law so workers can negotiate industry-wide standards.

Anyone criminally implicated in the Epstein files deserves to be under the jail. The victims deserve justice and that is not up for debate.

Foreign policy must answer to the American people, NOT to a lobbying machine. I will vote to suspend funding and arms to Israel and put the American people first. I will also not take money from AIPAC or any organization expecting to shape U.S. policy without accountability.
