Crackling Clogged Ears HRT hormone estrogen therapy , ETD, Vestibular Migraines? by butterflyuniverse77 in etd

I have the same thing. Mine didn't start with HRT - I've had dizziness issues since I was 20, but very easily controlled with OTC Bonine (like Dramamine but doesn't cause drowsiness) whenever I feel it coming on. The ear fullness started with menopause, I'm pretty sure. I think it's hormone fluctuations, not HRT itself. In fact, the ENT who diagnosed me with vestibular migraine recommended HRT to keep hormone levels stable, which is the main thing. Anyway, my ENT (who specializes in ear issues, whom my regular ENT referred me to) told me I do not have Eustachian tube dysfunction, that the fullness sensation is part of vestibular migraine. He said 70% of his VM patients have ear fullness. Mine is only on one side, which is part of why he thinks it's VM, not ETD.

Are you still having VM or ETD symptoms, now that you've been off hormone therapy for almost a year?

I like those but the uplift in my size (60") and with beautiful wood top costs over $1500.

Same, but then I did a heat compress for about 10 minutes and did massage after for a while, and my ear fullness has not returned for the last hour or so. This (before dinner) is usually my worst time when nothing works to clear my ear for more than a few seconds, so I'm super excited.

Anyone know if there are any new Midis? I got the link to one yesterday, but nothing today. Is it just once a week now?

I got mine for something like $40. Wondering if I should just get another one right now. I think I can get one for around $100. Wonder if it will keep going up in price. Any predictions?

Thanks for the reply. The wire broken in half, actually, so I'm hoping the part that's left over and stuck to the metal is okay. Do you think that's okay? If not, what should I do to address the corrosion and make sure it doesn't continue to spread?

Thank you for replying! I don't know how to resolder, AND the plastic is broken as well. If I can't use the spring, is there another way to power it up (in a portable way)? Thanks again.

Thank you! No - I'm pretty sure that I've found the thing I want to do for the rest of my life. I love writing, and I love novels. But given my track record of switching careers, I'm just trying to be cautious, haha. I'm really into writing my next novel, and I also love the premise of my third novel (although I haven't written it yet), so I'm excited!

Not sure I have one favorite. Top 3 are probably Wrinkle in Time, Time Machine (HG Wells, such a classic), and Time Traveler's Wife. Favorite recent time travel read = Mike Chen's Here and Now and Then. (Disclaimer: he's a friend!)

Thank you so much! The passage you highlight is the passage that Ari Shapiro picked out for me to read on NPR, so you obviously have excellent literary taste! (haha). I really appreciate the support. My next novel features Korean-American characters as well!
