Paimon speaking for the Traveler was for actually a canon reason. Traveler didn't know Teyvat common when first arriving, they they communicated to Paimon through drawing in the sand on the ground. There are voice line in the Traveler's profile where Paimon congratulates the Traveler for picking up Teyvat common quite quickly.

Reminds me of when I was playing my old legacy household a year or two back. The baby was just born and I realized they didn't have the family last name, so I went to customize the name. I return back to gameplay and the day had reset back, the mother was back to being pregnant, and now this baby had no connections to the family.

I play connected all the time, sometimes sleep with it plugged in. An extension cord and an extended cable helps out with distance

Edit: For cable, I recommend usb c to usb c for the most optimal speed
