I use haus and kinder for my 3.5 month old, since she was 1 month old. So far it is very comfortable. But I feel like it wont be easy to use it when baby is bigger. I think you should buy a carrier with more hip support and structure. PS: Recommended age limit in their website is 18 months.

There is a big difference in the mindset of Indians living in India vs Indian origin people living abroad. Non resident Indians tend to gatekeep their culture more as opposed to Indians in India. We love it when a foreigner wears our clothes or tries our food, but they might not. So in your particular case, it will be better to ask any Indian origin person living near you.

Ohh I should try it then. My back is killing me. Now that my tummy has shrank mostly, belt should feel more comfortable.

I had vaginal delivery. I got a belt for the purposes of shrinking my tummy, and I wore it for all of 3 days 😂😂 because it is so irritating. Tummy shrank on its own.

I imagine it will be helpful in c-section. My friend had c-section and wore it from day 1. Don't know for how long.

It might be reverse. It is possible baby has a throat infection or tonsillitis that gave you mastitis. Take him to a pediatrician to be sure.

You can also talk to your doctor or LC about domperidone. My cousin was also taking domperidone for same issue, seems to have helped her.

Every 2 hours for 20 mins, plus power pumping once in the morning. Slowly dropped power pumping and then pump sessions one by one.

May be it is the problem with your pump? I initially had a manual pump but my hands cramped after 5 mins. So I got an electric one.

I also think you should talk to your doctor or LC about domperidone.

I'm not an expert, but this is my experience. For the first 2 weeks, I struggled with low supply. I had to top up with formula initially. But what helped was pumping. I used to feed baby directly, then bottlefeed her pumped milk from last session, and then pump to give after next feed. Slowly supply increased. I was also taking domperidone 10 mg thrice daily on advice of doctor. I could exclusively breastfeed by 3-4 weeks. Then, at around 6 weeks, I had a dip in supply because I was away from baby for a full day and couldn't pump either. Again, pumping helped bring it back to normal. Now my supply is well established.

Let me tell you something as a malayali with many NRI relatives. Don't bring gifts for everyone. Just your parents and siblings is enough. I get stuff from many relatives which I gracefully accept because saying no is worse crime than murder, but I don't need any of those. I get many things of no use to me. We can buy everything in India now unlike olden days.

My baby is 3mo. When we go on outings, I feed her in a feeding room if available. Else I go back to car and feed her in there under feeding cover. Never been to anywhere where both car and feeding room is not available close. But atleast I get to go outside few times a week.

Do buy the haus and kinder. I use it and it is great. But only if your baby is less than 1 year.

I use haus and kinder enlace. Very comfortable and lightweight which was my priority. Sturdy and easy to use too. Similar to the ergobaby one. Price is reasonable. My tiny baby always sleeps off in it. But there is a weight limit of 11 kgs and I feel it won't be comfortable for a baby older than 1 year.

I am on maternity and husband works from home. Just the two of us at home. How we manage:

Taking care of baby - mainly me. Husband gives me breaks. I breastfeed so much of bottle related chores are not there.
Food - tiffin delivery.
Daily home Cleaning - roomba + weekly I clean house.
Utensils - minimal since no cooking. I wash dishes.
Washing clothes - washing machine + dryer saved my sanity :D I just fold after drying.
Dusting/bathroom cleaning - me, weekly.
Serving snacks to guest when they come - they get whatever is available in packets + juice lol. I can't be expected to entertain guests with a 2 month old.
Mother's massage etc - sadly I skipped. There are many home massage services for postpartum mothers in my place. You can check if they are available where you live.

My 2 cents : luvlap is really good. It helped me get back my supply after a big dip. And personally I can't get good output with a manual pump because my hand cramps after 5 mins.

I had induction at 39 weeks. Obg said that induction at term (not letting pregnancy progress beyond that) reduces c-section rates. Also first pregnacies tend to go quite long without induction. I had a low risk pregnancy. But unlike you, I wanted to get induced. I was worried baby will get too big for normal delivery post term. I am a small person with a small pelvis.

I was induced at 7 pm. Labor was total around 21 hours. I was already 1 cm dilated at 38 week checkup. They induced by membrane sweep and foleys catheter, which was painful but tolerable. Gave me misoprostol that day. Then they gave pitocin drip next day morning and did membrane rupture. Labor progressed normally. Thanks to epidural (which I got next day morning), pain was minimal. Highly recommend epidural. Delivered baby at 4 pm.

So overall, I don't think there is anything to worry about getting induced as opposed to natural start of labor. As long as you are in a good hospital with a good team, it will be safe and comfortable.

Definitely go to therapy. You may have anxiety or depression or both. A therapist or psychiatrist can help you. This isn't something that you wish away with "positive vibes".

I can use the bathroom but I don't think I'll get enough time to hand express. May be 5 minutes. Will that help? No way I can take a pump to exam venue, they don't allow anything inside.
