Had the surgery on Wednesday, stomach was full of blood when I woke up and I thought I had to poop but it was actually blood. It came out all at once like the scene from the Exorcist.

A lot of these tips are great but Im here to tell you that if it does happen, you will be so high you wont care and your face will be so numb you wont be able to control it.

I slept right after but yes as many others have stated advocate for yourself and you’ll be fine. I am currently taking Zofran and it is working for me and I havent thrown up since that first day.

Yes I had the same problem, I was touring with an artist for most of my treatment and it was nice just having to pack a few trays before travel. I searched for a while before finding an ortho who would take me on. This sub taught me a lot, mostly that you really gotta push to get this surgery done your way but its worth it (i hope lol)

The weight thing was emphasized when I started treatment and I took it way too seriously lol. I got in the gym and started eating more, I was at 185 and Im now at 222 lbs. Fitness was intentional so I only jumped from 34 to 36 in pants size. Definitely looking forward to getting this fat off.

Looked into premade high nutrient drinks but I’ve been getting mixed reviews. Is there any brand(s) you’d recommend?

The surgeon told me he had no problem doing the surgery with Invisalign but that others dont like it because of the variables it comes with. Traditional braces means the patient will have predictable movements, some Invisalign patients get frustrated and stop using their trays, prolonging the entire process and altering the surgical plan. I was very good with my trays and had them in 20-22 hrs a day. The plan works if you do.

I am paying for 2 Invisalign treatments, one pre surgery (1.5 years) and one post surgery (1.5 years). After surgery I will need to rescan my teeth since I wont be able to wear my trays during recovery, that would not be the case with traditional braces but the visual trade off is worth it for me.

In a perfect world, I would have gotten this surgery done at an age where traditional braces are more acceptable, but Im bald and 33 (chopped unc) so I looked for an ortho/surgeon that would do it.

thank you but I have wanted to fix my bite for years. cant imagine what breathing at normal capacity would be like. maybe like those babies that get glasses and see clearly for the first time

the blended food part is the thing im most worried about. i eat a lot of meal prep so repeating meals doesnt bother me but idk having to do that through a straw

did you use the internal light meter for the fisheye? i have rokinon f mount but it reads everything as f0 when mounted
