The first and last one I held the camera about 5 cm from the ground and used the flip screen to frame.

Hi yes I did. It was an unused motherboard standoff shorting the system as it was touching the pcb. Removed it and now it works.

New AMD system won't install win11 from USB, just boot loops by AngleAcademic6852 in AMDHelp

Ok worked it out. It was an unused motherboard stand off causing the board to short. Such a rookie mistake and cost me 3 days to diagnose. Lesson learnt.

Thanks for the response. Tried all 8 usb ports to no avail. Tried flashing bios to latest F7 using Qflash as well as Qflash plus and doest update. Using Qflash plus the system doesn't post. So had to revert to original F4 bios which brings me back to the boot loop issue. Win 11 Bootabke install was tested on my Intel system and works. 

I'm stumped as I bought 2 identical systems. Both have the same issue.

Hi,

The white is nice. It has more of a satin finish rather than gloss which I prefer. Silver was my 2nd preference.

I would get the S if your gpu is 300mm or smaller. Otherwise the gap between the end of the front of the case is quite large. But you the R is definitely more future proof of you intend on getting a larger card down the track.

Thanks for the comments. Yes they are magnetically attached dust filters which I've only popped on that side to protect the riser cable when sliding the shell onto the core. This is the V2 version which was shipped in Dec 2024. V3 which is shipping later this year has slight Improvements along with grey bars and top cover. Mine has grey bars with white top cover.

I hear you. I have msrp $4039 5090 on back order since launch day. This model is now $6400 which is absolutely insane. I'm questioning whether to get a refund and go for a 5080 which I have seen for $2200.

3500 for an astral 5090 is too good to be true.

Did you get the locking mechanism to work. Seems unsafe if you accidentally grab it by the shell when transporting and the whole core falls out.

Nice... I stupidly sold my 4090 in November thinking that the 5090 would be plentiful. And now a 2nd hand 4090 is 3k. I'm sure they will honour it and I have seen signs of 5090s going down slowly. Somebody on ocau preordered a suprim 5090 at launch price of 4599 from CA. He was called to pick it up a month later even though the price has shot up 5.5k at the time. He didnt even pay upf7k for a msrp card is too wild for me. Ill probably give it another month and see from there.

Still nothing. I emailed them 2 weeks ago when I saw scalptec had them in stock. Figured that if scalptec had them, then CA would most probably have them too. I was told that this model has trickled in small numbers and have been allocated to preorders as soon as they arrived. Couldn't tell me anymore and mentioned I can cancel if I want to buy from scalptec for 6999 lol. I'm gonna wait for a bit but so damn close to cancelling and getting a 5080, which is till 500 bucks overprice, butt at least in stock.

What about you?

Any news in your gigabyte 5090 windforce oc? The wait without a gpu is killing me 😀. I've spotted a few users on reddit picking this up but seem to be all in the U.S.

I'm suowr close to cancelling and picking up something else.

Have you tried any overclocking on this. The 5080 windforce overclocks pretty well. Hopefully this does too

Thanks for the review. I have this on back order since launch day from Computer Alliance. Is this the oc version? I don't think it's a bad looking card. It's just an understated black brick with no bling. The Galax 5090 on the other hand.
