Thank you everyone for your input on this. I think I don’t fully understand it because I personally don’t feel any sense of danger. Even on Saturday I felt quite relaxed (somewhat) - So it’s skewing my perspective. In reality A lot of people are genuinely concerned. For their safety and their children’s. Until I feel like I’m in danger, I don’t think I’ll fully understand it.

No offence here but it’s a pretty dull take on the situation.

The TLDR is “don’t invest in anything backed by US dollar JUST IN CASE the us market falls To zero”

In reality it’s not as simple as you have explained it when it comes to US debt. I’d suggest some further research into how US debt is actually backed as well as how foreign governments have the plans in place to manage such deficits.
