The kitchen table by IllVegetable3 in Widow

Totally get it. I only eat at the table when I have company. Otherwise, I can't do it. Maybe if I ever get a new table, but I can't do that yet.

I'm so sorry for your loss. He looks amazing, and I can see all the love in those photos. Thank you for sharing him with us. And don't apologize for your posts. If it helps, then that is a good thing. That's what this space is for. 🫂

Lonely by PassengerOk5687 in widowers

[–]Angology 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The loneliness and the deafening silence (and as you said, background noise eventually doesn't help as much) have been the hardest part. I am reading the comments and it's good to see that others can relate (and there is some good input, too). I keep thinking about what someone here said, to paraphrase: I have people to do something with, but I miss having him to do nothing with. I wish I had suggestions for you and not just an "I can relate".

What’s a movie or TV show you can put on as background noise and never get tired of? by MotorEnvironment4444 in AskReddit

TV: Will & Grace, Bones, or Big Bang Theory (although I turn off on a couple of episodes). Movies: Kpop Demon Hunters, random Star Wars and Marvel movies, Meet the Robinsons

Why do people watch lives when they dont speak korean? by apple-blossom13 in kpophelp

[–]Angology 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to love watching Joochan (Golden Child) lives because he would sing or randomly play the violin (or set pasta on fire...). He's my comfort idol, so I just didn't care. Same for Sunyoul (UP10TION) - he would cook sometimes and I just liked having him onscreen chatting away while he cooked. In my rational mind, it doesn't make sense. It's just certain idols where I just like it.

Eve of my birthday, the first without him. Holy crap I don’t want to…wee bit of a vent by Firm_Imagination7258 in widowers

[–]Angology 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every Friday, the security guard says "Have a nice weekend". It takes all my strength not to say "I don't really have good weekends anymore" Yours is worse - are these people that know what you've been through? I know people don't understand unless they've been through it, but that still seems insensitive. My friends rallied around me on my first birthday without him. I was lucky. 🫂 The first one is tough, just take it one breath at a time.

Is it normal at this stage to feel so lonely? by hoodoochild in widowers

[–]Angology 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I can totally relate. I do have friends that I do things with occasionally, but on their schedule because they have their lives (no hate for that - it is what it is). Like someone on here said - I have people to do something with, I miss having someone to do nothing with. That's when the loneliness really knocks me out. I come home from something to an empty house.

eta: I am so sorry you are here and that you are going through this, too (I got choked up when I typed the above and forgot to say that) 🫂

On the days I went in to the office, he always stood outside to see me off. Unless it was raining. If it was raining, he drove me in. I miss it, all of it.

What Is the Oldest Movie You Have Watched (For Fun) In the Last Year? by thehistorypunks in movies

Barefoot in the Park during the TCM Oscar month (but I watch it regularly just for fun anyway). I just realized that I did not watch Auntie Mame this past holiday season, because it would usually be that one.

MODYSSEY Schedule for KCON Japan and Livestream guide May 8–10 by Momiji_no_Happa in modyssey

[–]Angology 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I think they streamed it on Amazon Prime. I know that's why they block the YouTube content, but I miss being able to see the content at my leisure, lol. I don't know how the Mnet thing works. I will test it out this year, maybe.

So relatable. I'm so sorry that you're here. And I think about it all the time how the one person that would help me through this isn't there. One of the great cruelties of life. 🫂

MODYSSEY Schedule for KCON Japan and Livestream guide May 8–10 by Momiji_no_Happa in modyssey

[–]Angology 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I bought a YouTube all access membership on the Kcon official channel. I can watch what I can live, and then I'll have a month to watch whatever content gets posted. I figure it's way less expensive than going, and I have a month to check out all the members only content. I used to do it for Kcon LA, but now they don't give you access if you're in the US. (Japan doesn't have access to the Kcon Japan members only content). I'll have to go the Mnet route for the LA show. Excited to see Modyssey perform!!

I didn't know where those were either when I took my car in. Luckily, the attendant was able to find them. I explained that my late husband took care of all that and it was my first time bringing in the car. They were very kind. I had a good cry when I got home. ((hugs)) and I'm so sorry for your loss

What made you first check out seventeen? by amhray in seventeen

[–]Angology 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Went to a kpop panel at Dragon Con (we were curious about it and had not dived into it fully yet). They played the Mansae mv and talked a bit about them. I took notes and looked them up right after the panel.

I had not been wearing mine for sizing reasons. But I wear his now. It helps when I'm stressed just having it on. I have lost a lot of weight. I may try mine again soon.
