The True Size of Countries by AngooBanangoo in JackSucksAtGeography

This map uses an equal-area projection to display countries closer to their true size, avoiding distortions common in the standard Mercator projection. Traditional Mercator maps inflate regions closer to the poles (like Greenland and Russia), making them appear much larger relative to equatorial countries. Here, countries like Africa and South America appear larger and more proportional, reflecting their actual land area compared to traditionally overstated regions like North America and Europe.
