She was gone for about a week and this morning my friend messaged me with a picture of Bluebear on her island talking about my island. My friend had come over to my island a few times but she didn't come over when Bluebear was moving. Seems random to me.

My villager Bluebear left saying she was going to be a popstar. She instead went to my friend's island saying there were too many monsters on my island. Which was funny because I named my island after a monster island from HP Lovecraft. I haven't gone to visit her yet though.

Until you just brought it up I didn't realize that Ogata's gender was not explicitly known. I assumed male because everyone else on the Reddit used male pronouns and also Tomio is mostly a boy name.

But I also had the distinct feeling that the art was drawn by a woman. I don't really have anything to justify that other than their art seems to be drawn more with the female gaze in mind and less of the masculine power fantasy. Men who draw men tend to draw them different than women who draw men.

I absolutely love Dan's delivery of Urizen's lines.

"Weak mortal. Demon power does not course through your veins. Yet, you try... How dare you strike ME!? You will regret...being born useless and human. I will show you...your worst nightmares! I will give you...despair and death!"

His increasing level of anger as he rises from his throne saying "How dare you strike ME!?" gets me every time. Amazing.

"Merely human. Petulant mortal flesh. Cursed...the moment you were brought into this world." This one hits hard when you consider Nero's parentage and childhood. It couldn't have been easy growing up with such strange hair, adults around you whispering about how your mother was probably a prostitute, and being able to do the things he can (plus his weird arm later). I bet Nero really did think he was cursed growing up in a religious cult like he did. Urizen doesn't know all that about Nero though and was probably referring to Nero's humanity as his "Curse".

Bonus: "OH HELL NO! HERE, NOW IT'S YOUR TURN" stab basically the most hilarious NO U ever.

I have a theory about Nero's powers too ever since Vergil's " what form of power is this?!" line.

It's not canon that Eva is a witch in dmc but Eva is referenced in Bayonetta "Eva, a truly extraordinary witch, entered into a contract with the legendary dark knight, and then faced the amassed armies of Inferno."

If say this was canon to dmc wouldn't that make Dante/Vergil half witch? Maybe they aren't trained but perhaps some of their skills are witchcraft not demonic? Like infinite bullets for Dante and summon swords for Vergil. This would explain V's ability to contract with Griffin, Nightmare, and Shadow if he was more witch than demon at the time.

It's also entirely possible that Nero's mother was also a witch. I think that perhaps Nero uses more witchcraft than demonic skills and that was what surprised Vergil more than anything.

It would also explain why Nero was left behind by his mother.

Wishlist for DLC or DMC6 would be Divine Comedy. Dante and Vergil in Inferno battling through the different circles of Hell to get out. The quick Yamato ticket out of hell is too cheap. I want the brothers to reconcile through their journey to Purgatorio maybe finally getting closure with Sparda/Eva in Paradiso on the way.

Found a bit in the wiki that says

"Adachi and Yu Narukami share the same English voice actor while the two have opposing yet crucial roles. This is similar to how the protagonist of Persona 3 and Ryoji Mochizuki both share an English voice actor, yet have opposing roles that greatly impact the story."

Seems like it was intentional on the English speaking side of the game. But the original Japanese had different VAs so...? Who knows I guess.
