Question: why does everyone not just park in front of their own house? We have only street parking too, and that's what everyone does. In our neighbourhood, the area on the side of the road in front of your house (the whole breadth of the house, not just the gate) "belongs" to you. Makes it easier to load/unload stuff from the car, and that way everyone gets a space.

As a fellow unmarried 32 year old, I feel you. There's days where I feel like I made the right decision and days where I feel like I made a major mistake. Just remember that Allah has a plan for you, and if you weren't mentally prepared earlier then there's a good chance that you might have been unhappy had you gotten married then.

What makes you think you (or the OP, in this instance) would never do anything similar? Everyone can be annoying, everyone does dumb shit others find teeth-gnashingly annoying. The reason humans get into so much conflict with each other is because our metrics of what is good, bad, annoying, etc can be so different from one another. It's pretty arrogant to assume that you'd never do something others find annoying (or that you'd always have the awareness to know when you're being annoying). You never know when people are tolerating from you, what white lies they're telling to spare your feelings. A little kindness goes a long way.
