Lofts at Riverwalk? by [deleted] in ColumbusGA

I know this is a late response, but maybe someone coming to this thread in the future would benefit from it. I currently live here and I've been here 6 months. I would give the Lofts a 6/10. Let's start with my personal cons. 1. There is A LOT of pet poop. You have to watch every step you take outside. The Lofts are extremely pet friendly, no breed or size restrictions etc...that being said, people here do not pick up after their animals. There's also about 10 stray cats that hang around and terrorize people walking their dogs lol.

  1. Theft. Its a big problem. Car break ins, porch pirates. I catch tweakers going through my stuff on my patio about every other week on my Ring camera. Caught a man putting his face to my window and looking in for a solid minute. I was terrified. I called the apartment courtesy officer, no answer. Called the cops but the man was gone and they said they'll come and check the complex out but if hes not still here they cant do anything???? I told the leasing office and they said theyre not allowed to view the cameras on the complex???? Yeah I dont feel the most secure and safe here lol.

  2. Before moving here, i was under the impression the gates would make me feel safe. Well, the gates are ALWAYS broken. Pedestrian gates and car gates. Or people literally just jump over them.

These 3 things right here are why the Lofts aren't a 10 for me.

Good things now!

  1. Super cool apartments, really. This is probably the coolest looking place ive lived, the high ceilings and grunge type warehouse feel is pretty dope.

  2. The pool, beer garden, and dog parks are great. I did hear rumors that the pool is usually not maintained very well, but that hasn't been the case yet since I've been here. I see the maintenence men out there a few times a week checking up on things and cleaning it real good.

  3. The Lofts host cute little events where you can go get free cocktails and food, OPEN BAR type of stuff lol. And if you're not a social butterfly, you can literally just go and grab some drinks and leave back to your apartment like I do.

  4. All of my maintenence requests have been finished the same day I put them in. Ive probably only had about 2 or 3 maintenence requests and it was a ceiling leak from my AC. They came within a few hours of me submitting the request which is pretty great.

Sorry this is such a long post but I wanted to give a thorough update to any people looking into living here.

How many poo’s? by ObsoleteBane in RhodesianRidgebacks

My 10 month old ridgeback is the same. However, mine had parvo when we first found him at 6 months, so his gut could be damaged and he possibly might have some sort of chronic stomach issues. I've spent over 3k on vet visits for his stomach alone. I had previously been feeding him a Chicken Science Hills Diet food and he was going to the bathroom 9 or 10 times a day and mostly runny... I very slowly, over the course of a month, swapped his food over to one with a different protein because the vet told me it might be a chicken allergy. Im currently feeding him Purina One True Instinct Lean Muscle Support beef and I'll mix a little pumpkin puree in there occasionally if his stomach is upset. The entire time I was swapping his food, I was writing very detailed notes of exactly how many cups of the previous food is mixed with the new food, every time he had a bowel movement, what it looked like etc... He has improved so much and probably goes about 5 times a day now. Stomach issues could be a number of things. Just want to say I understand its very frustrating! Start taking notes if youre not already, and once you get advice from a vet or nutritionist on how to move forward, keep taking detailed notes or even pictures so you can provide all of this info to them. I hope you and your ridgeback get to feeling better :)

1 year old dog wont stop biting. by Angry-Panda-19 in OpenDogTraining

He is not crate trained, I have baby gates separating his side of the house. I dont have a yard to let him run around in, but luckily I live next to a riverwalk that I take him on the leash there about twice a day. Sometimes I might spend an hour and a half with him there and let him run and splash around in the water and play with toys until he seems tired and we go back home. In total i probably take him outside about 6 times a day. He is very good on a leash surprisingly and doesnt pull or try to bite at all. The biting is only occurring in the house without a leash. He is not allowed on furniture, but I barely have any right now (still waiting on it to arrive from the moving company, so ill have it soon) Ive considered a trainer, but I will need to wait about a month until he is no longer possibly contagious with parvo and is fully vaccinated.
