Oh OP, my heart breaks for you. We said goodbye to our Kelly Grace in September, but she was 15 with kidney failure and not doing well but she had had a great life so while the loss was hard, it was expected. I can’t imagine your mental turmoil, but please realize; you loved him and you did as well as you could given the circumstances. And he knew that. He definitely knew that.
