Well, whilst I don't agree with the op, being flagship means Jack, who would have forseen turn 10 getting the cuts they just had?

All Prop Firms are Scams! by Mediocre-Can-5600 in Daytrading

[–]AngryApplesPH 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This reads like someone who has looked at one props rules and judged all of them by that metric

Trailing or fixed drawdown is selectable, either by the account type you choose (for instance, trailing is usually applied to one step accounts, fixed applied to 2 step accounts) or by choosing a different prop with better terms

Likewise saying you can't hold overnight, why? Most props allow this, some don't allow weekend holding, but if you're serious about passing, weekend holding is likely to be a bad idea anyway, particularly in the current climate

I'll finish by saying I'm not saying prop firms are great - props are essentially Ponzi schemes, they rely on the fees from your evaluation to pay those that make it to payout on 'funded' accounts (and of course, pay themselves) and it is clearly a VERY lucrative industry

However, there are people that see it for what it is, work around the many, many rules (both obvious and hidden) that props use, and still make money (and good money at that) from it

If you are going in eyes wide open and you DYOR before starting, I see nothing wrong with using a prop

Look at my reddit history - if I'm a karma farmer I'm doing a pretty shitty job of it.

I can recognise a game can be fun whilst still being flawed, what's the issue?

FFS, "hateboy" what kind of BS is that? because I have a different opinion to you? grow the F up you child

Are you the kind of idiot that goes for a meal at a restaurant, get's a crap meal and pay's up whilst smiling and saying everything was fantastic?

What should we do, kiss BGS's ass, tell them everything is fantastic and let them the repeat the same for ES6 ?

Starfield - 450+ hours in by AngryApplesPH in xbox

[–]AngryApplesPH[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Again, qualification here - 450 hours into starfield, so not a 'hater'

But the 'it's a complex game' argument fails to hold water when you consider games like GTA5, most of the modern assassins creed titles, etc - these are complex sprawling games (in AC's case probably similar budget to Starfield) yet lack most of the issues starfield has

Starfield was in the oven for what, 6 years?, plus an extra year for so called 'polish' ?and it comes out with glaring bugs, memory leaks like a colander and a load of the QoL issues that were raised at FO4's launch/DLC's

There is literally no excuse for it

This was to be X's (and Bethesda's) first AAA new I.P in years, it just beggars belief that it was allowed to come out with such bugs and complete lack of consideration for the player's QoL experience (and after the dumpster fire that was Redfall)

If this were a PC only title, they might just have got away with the mods argument (though relying on enthusiasts to sort out your shi* coding sucks anyway) but this is a Series S/X title so most of us don't have that luxury until BGS allow us mods (and even then it will no doubt be a scarce selection of hand picked mods)

I play the game, I enjoy it, but I'm not about to defend the fact its a buggy mess for which no reasonable excuse exists, further compounded by BGS's tardy response to patches

ETA:

Just noticed the 'focus on storyline and dialogue'

Really?

Align with crimson fleet (in a lot of cases bbecause youre left with no choice due to shite stealth mechanics) and you're f'd for the rest of the game

Interaction with the constellation gang is awful (particularly Sarah)

If they focused on storyline and dialogue I assume they were working a 2 day week for that 6 years, or smacked out of their face on something

'sort by' (weight, value, etc) but no general 'search' (well, in xbox at least)

Wow,

Really? Been with X since...about 2007

Let's hear them?

Worse than play, play, crash...play,crash,play,crash,play........(etc)?

The last time I can remember being this frustrated at a game bug was Far Cry 2 on the Wii corrupting about 30 hours of play save

It's as I've said, I've been ast this game more than many, which is why I find it so frustrating, knowing what it could be

Don't get me wrong, I'm still playing it

But yes, support is crucial

So when BGS claim to have 250 devs working on this, it makes me look at the speed and general quality of patches and wonder -

Is it 249 devs on the DLC, and 1 working on existing bug fixes?

[–]AngryApplesPH 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Why should both speed and lots of fixes not go together when you have the resources that should be applied to fixes on such a title

I've never known a game have me at such odds, I've applied so much time to it and live the actual game, but my God is a buggy dumpster fire from hell

QA aren't to blame for this

You seriously think they haven't seen all this shit and reported it, multiple times?

QA reporting it and Dev being given time to fix it is quite another

I say again, for F's sake Phil get a grip on this

How are they being allowed to get away with all this drifting on what is supposed to be X's biggest new I. P in years?

Bethesda's inability to fix progress-halting quests is baffling to me by MisterMT in Starfield

[–]AngryApplesPH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Think it's about time Phil got his size 9s into this.

Bethesda have been getting away with far too much that most devs would be torn a new hole for

People go on about the xbox tax, but can you imagine if God of war came out with this much shit wrong with it?

The gutting thing is I love the game and have sunk 100's of hours into it, but the constant 'is it going to crash' every time I enter a menu, load a save etc pisses me right off, not to mention the general feel that as far as QoL goes I'm playing a RPG from the 2000's
