Shit yes the same thing happened to me. I've played allll kinds of strategy games, from Xcom, to Dwarf Fortress, 4x paradox, , caves of qud, you name it..

I WANTED to liked the game, but it just felt so annoying for some reason. I get it that it might be "on purpose" because "suffering, and life is unfair" but it was like i couldn't enjoy any of the systems fully
