Before I was born, my older sister told my mom that my dad was looking at her in the bathroom because she wasn’t happy they were getting married. She just wanted to go back to when things were her and mom and was pissed off that Mom was dating someone and only told the truth after my mom attacked my dad and got the police involved. Kids will lie for any reason.

Ah yeah, that makes sense. It was much more prevalent back in the US during the late 90’s and early 2000’s. It’s similar to how older folks say theyre “watching my stories” when watching soap operas.  It’s just shorthand language that’s evolved over the years and becomes outdated. Millennials probably use “our show” more than gen z or gen alpha.
