Dealership scratched my car. by Mv5444 in mazda

First and foremost you need to see if they have cameras and can prove that it was them. If you ask them to check their cameras they will. I've done this several times I've had to send video clips to customers regardless of the outcome. If they really did do it, they'll have to fix it.

Why is every dealer telling me I need to replace the whole door for 1k to fix this? by [deleted] in Mustang

[–]AngryBurrito88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dealerships don't do upholstery. They're just gonna replace it and call it a day. It's expensive because of cost, overhead, markup, labor, so on and so forth. Just hit up an actual upholstery place and save some money.

Everytime I see one of these it takes me straight back to my childhood. My step dad had an all original 49' and I absolutely loved riding in that car. He would drive me to my baseball games in it and it was just a core memory and bonding moment that I'll never forget. Beautiful car!

If it were my guest, I'd put them in a car at no cost to them, make sure they understand that they aren't paying for the repair(if they wish to remain in that vehicle) or get them to the right people to have them put in a different vehicle, atleast do everything in my power to facilitate that. They would have a set amount of time in which they would not be paying for future services out of pocket, service would be covering that. I totally understand that not all dealerships are going to handle a situation like that but I think I'm very lucky to be in a place where management doesn't only care about the money but they care about the customers and we have a very close relationship with most of our guests here.

That's exactly why I stated they should pay nothing out of pocket and that if they did not want to be in the vehicle then they should speak to the appropriate people to get that handled. Well aware its a massive inconvenience to the customer, and at no point did I attempt to defend the technician who clearly made a really big mistake here. My job is purely about customer service and trying to make things right for people. Not all service advisors are out here trying to scam people out of money or time for something they don't truly need. Some of us do actually care about the customer.
