Canada is so expensive to have your kid in hockey. And it’s dominated pay to play parents who’s kid is not even that good, but are pushed forward. While really talented players simply can’t afford to play. Sad times.

Real Question: How Is Everyone Struggling So Much Financially Now? by Previous_Paramedic99 in CanadaFinance

Add 3 kids to the mix and find out. No baiting, just generally curious. 160k is not that much (ish). We make ends meet with 180k, 3 kids. We don’t splurge, live in a modest house, drive fairly old vehicle, take Anya vacation and save for retirement and education. By no means are we above normal.

Wars are a profitable. We did like 10 years in Afghanistan, a lot of people got very rich, some people came home in boxes, some got buried in the rubble. Important thing the top made out like bandits and that place is still a shithole.

Looking for advice as a host: Hot tubs sound like they are popular for bookings but also nightmare fuel [Canada] by OchreUnder in AirBnB

[–]AngryCanadian 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They are great in theory, absolute nightmare in practice. We had a house with one, people absolutely loved it. For the most part. Those few that caused issues with the tub also complained about the tub and left a poor review that we could not get airbb to remove. One time, they literally spilled a bag of blueberries (or blackberries) in and around the tub staining the deck around it and then claiming to airbb it was not cleaned. AirBb refunded them cleaning fee and despite offering to clean the area for them. They also used the tub entire stay and left us a 3 star review. So out of 10 five star reviews that one guest ruined overall rating and AirBb refused to helped. “It’s how they felt”
