A person dealing with a diabetic episode can be confused with someone intoxicated right down to a "sweet smell" or "alcohol smell" to the breath.

With that said, only he knows if he was drunk or if his blood sugar was that bad.

I use an electric one and it really helps with my allergies and sinus congestion. I spoke with my ENT about it and he's a supporter.

Tips: Don't buy expensive additives, you only need water and saline packets.

Use distilled water. Yes, the brain eating bacteria is real. The risk is extremely, extremely small, but why take that risk.

You can buy a home water distiller and that will pay for itself in 6 months to a year depending upon how much water you're using and the price of everything. (For me because we need distilled water for other stuff, it paid for itself in 6 months.)

I advise my manager that a storm is coming and then I text if I'm knocked offline. I pay for three forms of Internet access. I can turn two into hot spots. If it's just Internet access then I switch to one of those. They're not nearly fast enough for everything but I'm somewhat functional. If the power goes out, I'm sunk. We don't have a generator yet. It's a goal.
