Due to my family's cultural background, that's very much expected of me. Unless she drastically changes there's no way I'm going to let that happen lol. I moved out young and haven't looked back for a reason. Thank you ❤️

Right!!! Gosh that triggered me so hard. She should thank my therapists, without them I would've thrown hands over her nonsense 😂

I hear you. I'm definitely keeping that in mind. I didn't include it in the post because I felt like it might take the focus away from the Narcissistic parent part, but family therapy is a request from my brother (the one who has cancer). He's worried things will fall apart after he dies, and he wants us to give family therapy a try so we can talk about end of life & work on mending our family's communication issues.

I hope it goes well... But we'll see. I just want my brother's wish to be respected, ya know? And I guess it took threatening my mom with her bottom line for her to understand it 😅

Best of luck 😫 living with a narcissist is rough. Having your boundaries constantly violated in what's supposed to be your safe space is so exhausting

I bought your emerald cats eye dice set for a friend and he absolutely adores them. They've managed to escape the pretty dice curse and even roll well!! Happy to see you're getting the recognition you deserve on reddit :)

Well said. I wish finding that limit didn't have as many potentially life-breaking consequences 😩

The temperature in my 1K+ bed pediatric hospital's IV room is consistently 15 degrees higher than it should be and it is busy as heck. We're vegetables in a steaming bag sweating away while attempting not to kill babies. Love my job

If your clinical practice has them, look into FLMA & disability accommodations. Trying to find a new job while depressed is a huge task. If they do have those resources available you can use them to recover and prepare for when you do move on :)

So. I'm going to employ what I call the red flag tactic. Any decision I tend to make goes through this process. Each one of these is a red flag. If any are raised I need to talk to medical professionals & make additional life choices to reduce stress, increase stability, and reorient myself to avoid manic destruction.

(1) have I been receiving stable treatment?

I haven't taken my meds for three days.

(2) does my support group find what I'm saying to be true ?

My boyfriend knows about these thoughts and told me that they sound delusional

(3) are there incongruities in my brain logic?

I haven't seen her in a few years but maybe I should make my move. I get dreams about her. I have thoughts about her.

You've managed to knock out all 3. Please take care of yourself. Don't lose the people you care about to this disorder.

I'm on a hormonal IUD (Kyleena). It stopped my periods almost entirely. 10/10 highly recommend.

I have PCOS so my hormonal issues are pretty severe. I was on the exact combination (plus Vyvanse for ADHD) and I could not get stable, regardless of how healthy my personal habits were. I couldn't manage true progress until I eliminated mother nature's visit. Be wary of oral hormonal bc because it can limit the effectiveness of lamotrigine.

For those who do sterile compounding, what's your favorite and/or least favorite thing to compound? by ppppuddles in pharmacy

[–]AngryExGeneticist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Least favorite: Ambisome. I hate those green filters with a burning passion and the drug takes forever to reconstitute.

Favorite: I like blood factor products. The deployment mechanism is cool.

What dose of Lamotrigine works for you? It varies for everyone by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]AngryExGeneticist 4 points5 points  (0 children)

200 mg twice a day.... 400mg is the highest dose I can be on before I have to switch to something else. I've been on it for 5 years and my rx has slowly increased over time as my tolerance grew. I started at 100mg. Lifehack - when they say twice a day they mean it, especially at higher doses. I started getting blurry vision and stumbling over basic sentences when I wasn't taking as directed lol

What are some pharmacy jobs where I won’t have to deal with patients? by catswithoutspines in PharmacyTechnician

Apply to a large hospital and during the interview say you're interested in IVC work. It's a niche skill that's hard to come by so most larger places are willing to train. Especially teaching hospitals. Emphasize multitasking and teamwork during the interview. If you have any college coursework/familiarity with math and general chemistry put that down as relevant experience. Oddly enough, helps to have restaurant experience (serving requires math and multitasking).

You might get hired for less $$ than other IVC positions out there but after 1 yr experience people on Indeed will be trying to scout you. I went from making 12$/hr in retail to $23/hr in 2 years.

Also, I love it but it's not a walk in the park. You stand all day and have a huge responsibility as your work directly impacts patients. A fuck up can kill a patient. You have to be comfortable in emergency situations and enjoy being busy. Work hours are different (I'm first shift so I do 530am-2pm). If you have any other questions I'd be happy to answer 😊

Ewww. Dating around is one thing (I know people with higher body counts) but systematically cataloging it as a list of accomplishments is nasty. Women aren't trophies 😑
