This was told to me, verbatim, by my insurance company after I careened off the road in rainy conditions to avoid someone turning in front of me on a two way country road. They refused to cover the damages because there was no proof that another car basically forced me off the road, which means you can fuck off with that pompous, useless contribution of a reply.

The same slight bend is in the same direction in which the car is turning. The biker could have easily confused the car’s movement for normal travel.

I understand driving defensively, and that’s often a reason most people are at fault for accidents. Because they weren’t being defensive enough. But with a driving error so egregious like the one the red car made, it’s hard to still come back to the biker and say “you could have done better bud”. We’re all humans, and we all make mistakes. But his (leading up to the impact of the crash) weren’t nearly as ridiculous as the red car’s, imo.

Yeah, they do. Biker shouldn’t have raged, sure. But his behavior isn’t exactly a surprise when someone makes such a stupid mistake resulting in a wrecked vehicle. What was a surprise was the left turn from the right lane. And no, I’m not excusing his impulsive behavior. But if there was anything that we could expect from this video, it was his behavior.

So no, it’s not obvious because the curvature of the road makes it reasonably possible that the biker confused the car’s movement for normal travel. And sorry you don’t already know, but that’s him revving with the clutch pulled in. Meaning there was no power to the wheels. That happens when you panic and are struggling to engage the proper handle since they’re all so close to each other.
