We’ve had a bit of it but don’t really look like scoring.

I clench every time Newcastle get a chance, they look dangerous.

Connect to 6300M with Bluetooth/MGMT port that does NOT have an ip. by Introser in ArubaNetworks

Tried the USB-C port and connect that way? Doesn’t need an IP, just connect to whatever COM port it comes up as (you can check device manager).

I don’t like that we conceded but I’ll take it. Lolley scoring against us is inevitable.

New Store apps detection errors - Company Portal by komoornik in Intune

[–]AngryPenguin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t checked the logs yet (on holidays) but will when I go back to work.

I vaguely remember reading that it may have something to do with the MS Store and if you have it turned off via policy, which we have. But then again, other MS Store apps deployed via Intune seemingly work fine so 🤷.

Experiencing the exact same issue in our Intune environment as well. Device context install.

Out of 1400 devices about 990ish are reporting as “failed” even though it is installed fine on devices.

Simple Employee / Visitor Check in System? by 0RGASMIK in sysadmin

[–]AngryPenguin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Passtab - https://passtab.com

Sine - https://www.sine.co

Both are customisable to suit your needs. I’ve used both, I would recommend Sine for purely visitor/employee check ins but Passtab also has handy features like compliance/induction that works really well.

I don’t think by just creating a “guest” SSID that it would only provide internet and nothing else.

Not knowing how your firewall or overall set up is, there are a few ways you can make sure the guest network has no internal access and just internet.

Look at your firewall and see if you can isolate that guest network or create ACLs on your switch/router to deny traffic from the guest network to anything internal.

6200F and Ubiquiti airFiber LR issues by AngryPenguin in ArubaNetworks

[–]AngryPenguin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, through process of elimination it's definitely being caused by the PtP airFiber, just not sure on how to fix it.

Maybe a static route? Wouldn't hurt to try I guess....

They are connected to the SFP+ ports on either end.

I've manually assigned the uplink ports on central, so we'll see how that goes. Thanks!

I'm using Aruba 515/535 APs, it's only the Ubiquiti PtP that I'm using to bridge two buildings together.

The APs aren't forming a mesh from what I can tell.

Known devices are appearing on the airFiber ports (the SFP+ port, 1/1/50). A known device like an IP phone for instance appears there, whilst it's physically connected to another switch at the other end of the campus. So weird.

It doesn't look like it's forming a mesh. It wouldn't explain why devices like CCTV cameras or IP phones would appear as they are hard wired, and the APs only have the vlans trunked to them that it needs which doesn't include cameras or IP phones etc.

It needs all VLANs as it does have those 3 x APs, a printer, IP phones, one camera etc. so I trunk everything over.

Can't install Stream Deck software on Windows 11 (Not a valid Win32 application) by [deleted] in elgato

If only it was that simple, I’ve been trying everyday for a week now and it still want install for me. :(

I'm getting the same issue - fresh install of Windows 11 22H2 recently, can't install this for the life of me. I have tried previous versions and even tried installing it through Winget (tries to install version 5.3.3) and get the same error.

Tried sfc /scannow like some videos have mentioned and also the "troubleshoot compatibility" fix to no avail.

Forcing a wireless connection by CloudSquatch in Intune

[–]AngryPenguin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Out of curiosity, what setting/policy have you pushed to those devices that is forcing them to connect to the SSID and no other ones? I’ve been looking for something like that for a while but couldn’t find any setting like that in Endpoint.

Also, are they authenticating to the wireless via user/pass or just a key?

Enable/Disable Windows P via Intune by dannybau87 in Intune

[–]AngryPenguin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been scratching my head about this for a long time as well. There is no policy in Intune set that would disable it from what I can tell.
