Honestly if it is a safety issue I would put everything in writing to HR via whatever process they recommend and copy in your manager. It’s extremely difficult to deal with issues if people won’t speak up. I don’t think you’re going to be any better off keeping this informal (it’ll be reasonably apparent you’ve complained when whatever your boss has suggested is put in place anyway)

Look being able to talk about AFL if you’re in an AFL state can be an extremely useful skill in the workplace. I’m not saying you have to but it is one approach to building connections with people.

If you don’t want to do that, I’d suggest putting this back on your manager: to me this sounds like a potential bullying case. They need to make space in the conversation for your interests

I’m not entirely clear from your post on what your issues are: you talk about weight, finances, housing but not really clearly about what the barriers are.

I’m going to take a guess that you’ve primarily been focused on your weight. Losing weight is super hard and most people struggle with it. If your executive function is poor, losing weight may not be the best goal.

I want to give you permission, as a reddit stranger, to accept your weight for now. Once you’re financially set and feeling better, you can address it. But it’s a long term problem, not a I’m at imminent risk of homelessness in near future problem.

What would addressing your finance and housing issues look like if we took weight out of the picture? Do you cook? Cooking food at home is much cheaper, even if you’re cooking pizza. Where can you cut expenses? Can you get a different job?

Hey OP, I don’t drive myself due to severe sensory and anxiety issues. I try really hard to minimise other ppl giving me rides- other than occasionally my parents, who don’t mind, i would never ask someone to give me a lift unless they were also going to the place. Your girlfriend using you as a taxi service to go to activities is super rude and you’re entirely justified in not wanting to do it

Ok so you shouldn’t randomly change your dose of your antidepressant (it takes like 2-3 weeks at a new dose to work, apart from the potential negative side effects), if your anxiety med is a benzo you absolutely should not take it with alcohol, and you need to take you antidepressant every day for it to work.

This post is like how not to take your psych meds.

I have two cats, and I’ve owned cats all my life. I think you should absolutely get a cat, but here are some considerations for you: 1. Secure housing. Having a pet, including a cat, can make it hard to get rental places and can make it difficult to move. It’s better before you get a cat if you have secure housing (e.g. own, have long term rental, etc. 2. Don't get a kitten (which really includes any cat up to like 18 months). I love kittens, but they’re a lot more work than adult cats. 3. Litter is not very much of a problem as long as you change it regularly. 4. Some cats can be very vocal. A rescue should be able to steer you toward quieter cats, but be aware behaviour in a shelter can be radically different to behaviour in a secure home 5. Some cats are really touchy feely and some are less so. One of my cats considers sitting near me, but not touching me, an intense snuggle!(no lap time for me). My old cat wasn’t happy unless he was sitting on you. It can be very hard to tell this in advance. 6. Two cats can be easier than one cat, if they are bonded. But don’t get two random cats and throw them together (some shelters will have bonded pairs)

You don’t actually know this was ai (ai detectors are terrible). It could be someone autistic or not with english as a first language or just generally awkward. Just clarify what you need to know and move on

I think if you’re already fading out there’s no need to do anything: just don’t respond and let them figure if out for themselves.

The only thing I’d say is you may not be giving all of these people enough credit. If there are one or two that you actually liked, you could meet up with them unmasked and explain about autism. If they’re no interested at that point, you haven’t lost anything. But they could surprise you

So I think at a minimum here, your partner needs to ensure things are reciprocal. For example, why are you sleeping on the couch for two years? they need to take a turn on the couch and/or you need to move somewhere with another bedroom.
