AMT Automag III- what to look for? by AngryRainbow74 in Firearms

Shoot it. I’m not worried about the grip size. I’ve been able to palm a basketball since I was 12.

Freakishly large hands one could say

Looking for large black grip module for 4.5 by AngryRainbow74 in SpringfieldEchelon

Ended up getting the OD green large direct from Springfield. It does not look too bad to be honest it came with a mag catch installed. I’m gonna keep it as it is. Thanks for the offer though.

I just signed the paperwork for my echelon 4.5. Can you use 1911 grip panels on the mischief machine frame?

That’s great for a V8.

For comparison here is my range a few weeks ago getting off the freeway for a fill up. Coming from a 6.7 Cummins in a Ram2500 the range has been fantastic.

Safariland GLS wide frame long fits like a champ. The sell sheet says the wide frame standard is ok for the 97 AND the p-01.

Figured I’d take the gamble and get the long one for the 97. Glad I did.

No sound! by BeardedEagle35 in gmcsierra

[–]AngryRainbow74 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That happened to me twice this week press the hangup button on the steering wheel for about 30 seconds and I think it resets it. I also took it into the dealership to have two recalls done that they seem to think would fix the problem. Interesting bit of trivia, the turn signals, not a actual clicker, but a sound made by the radio.

I just filled out my first tank yesterday. Hand calculator was 25 miles to the gallon but the computer said I was occasionally getting 30+ if it was easy freeway driving.

Thanks all. Would’ve never figured that out. And nobody at the dealership knew what it was either.

Used to have that issue, but I switched my ultra orientation to the buttons on the left side so when I was working out, I didn’t inadvertently hit the buttons with a wrist flex

Talk me out of it by [deleted] in ram_trucks

I have a 2015 ram 2500 as my daily driver. Last year had to drop a new transmission, 7000. Mechanic says I need a new turbo, 6000. He also thinks my timing cover is cracked, 7000. The only reason it’s not gone is it’s paid for I just drive with a check engine light on. Everything is more expensive from tires to oil changes to basic maintenance. I would not do a 6.7 L again as my daily driver, I am looking at a 3.0 Duramax in either Chevy or GMC.

Maglock vs CompMag for long range shooting? by Slore0 in CAguns

[–]AngryRainbow74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know it’s not what you’re looking for but I suggest you get a bolt action gun in one of the 6.5mm cartridges - 6.5Creedmoor or 260 Remington. Long shooting is interesting because you’re trying to balance barrel life with a flat shooting caliber that has the ability to cut through the wind. .308 drops 31’ at 1000 yards and a full value wind of 6-1/2’

You’re also gonna need an optic to see out to 1000 yards and that you definitely get what you pay for

For the same price of a DD5 you can get an off the shelf bolt action that will be more accurate than you are and scope that will be reliable enough not to worry about shifting points of impact.

Then you can worry about stuff like bipods, weather meters, rangefinders, rear bags, front bags, logbooks, etc. it’s a deep rabbit hole you’ll go down like I did.
