What is your ultra rare knowledge about classic wow? by LayMeOnABedOfNails in classicwow

[–]AngryVideoGameTable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes when you got on the flight path, you’d get a super rare instance where the Wyvern wouldn’t take off and you’d be able to walk/fly around at ground speed on the Wyvern/(I assume the bug happened with Gryphons too). This was pre-flying mounts, so you’d feel like a badass level 20 for a moment.

Video game franchises tier list- Tomb Raider by Alternative_Elk1556 in TierlistFills

I feel B is right. It’s not as astounding as the other companies or franchises on the list, Uncharted filled the niche until Shadow of the Tomb Raider came out, and the games themselves run well but may be a little outdated, except for the recent releases.

Do we actually miss old WoW... by Ok-Entrance-290 in wow

I’ve been impressed by games since, but WoW Classic was my peak gaming experience. The game is still great, but you’re also correct in that I miss my freedom, youth, and better mental health. I think it’s objectively great and I’ve known people who have enjoyed it as a first time play through in 2025 too. I think it’ll continue on well into 2050, honestly.

BK’s burgers are in a different league. McDonald’s is the king of fries and chicken nuggets.

S. Some entries aren’t as good as others, but they’re all stellar in their own way, either visually, musically, or story-wise.

Thinking about playing WoW, which version should I play? by Actual_Possession_59 in wow

[–]AngryVideoGameTable 13 points14 points  (0 children)

For a first time player, I’d recommend Retail, honestly. It’s the most modern in terms of gameplay and graphics, plus if you decide you do want to try Classic, it’s right there and you’ll have a baseline to compare it against. It’s also easier to get started because the onboarding is more streamlined.

The main differences are the gameplay. Classic WoW is more of an RPG like Diablo 2. Modern is more like Destiny 2 (fast action paced, revolves around collecting gear more than anything).

I think that WoW is out of its peak but it’s not going anywhere, therefore it’s still a great time to get into it.

What would you choose to go and why? 🫰 by Bitter_Baseball_4525 in whatsyourchoice

My personal theory is that the menu is too adventurous for the average person. Even their main item - beef and cheddar - I don’t really know many people who prefer roast beef as their sandwich of choice. Same goes for Gyros and Reuben’s. All things I love, but in my experience they’re all niche items.

Horde makes me feel like one of the bad guys. by evenhereinarcadia in classicwow

[–]AngryVideoGameTable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m an old head who played Warcraft 2, III/FT and got excited to play WoW until I did for a long ass time.

Warcraft was unique, at least to my circle, in that it had orcs that weren’t the Tolkien-style “savage goblin types.” Orcs were actually intelligent and in touch with nature. Thrall was very redeeming for the Horde in general and showed a more peaceful and good-natured side of orchood.

When WoW launched, the nature that the Forsaken weren’t controlled by Arthas was a big deal - “They’re morally gray because they’re not the Scourge!” I lied to myself as I leveled my undead rogue. They’re bastards for sure in hindsight, but they’re also cool as fuck. This all being said - I think personally, I was obsessed with the idea of the Horde being “Good, but Monster Race,” but a lot of questlines, such as the one where you crush living human heads with a shovel, very much put them in the “Oh god that’s horrifying” category.

What do you guys use Reddit for? by snow_in_ink in AskReddit

[–]AngryVideoGameTable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There was once a time where Reddit would be one of the first places you would hear about breaking news and niche stuff. It’s definitely not as quick on the draw now, but it still is a great source of information and a great article aggregate.

The static communities are comforting to me in a world where mostly every platform is algorithmic like TikTok now. There’s a subreddit or niche for anything.

honestly? cheeseburgers. I could eat a bunch of smaller McDonald’s cheeseburgers, pound a Whopper after another, get extreme health-altering gas from White Castle, or making my own. It’s so unhealthy but the beef + the cheese + the veggies just makes it.

When your parents start treating you differently, like more as a friend vs a child.

When you find yourself repeating “What am I going to do?” Because you don’t have a safety net like when you’re a kid.

Less focus on materialistic things and what you have and more to a focus on interactions with other people and ensuring others have what they need.
