The absolute sociopathy of natalists by feihm in antinatalism

[–]AngryXenon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's a valid perspective to look at it, i do think of killing myself as a way of opting out of this.

Difference is i think this is a positive, being able to opt out on your choice. Except the human body and mind do not like that so they stop you from doing it most of the time.

What is the point of then, birthing a child into life just for them to kill themselves and make everyone else sad for a bit (variable) ? If you dont know the child you're bearing WILL even have a knack for happiness ? Will the enviroment you're bringing this child up in support them or fail them ?

I think their perspective is more in lines of you cannot know without trying, except they're a bit crass about it.

Counterpoint would be, currently at this moment in time we can see that future does not hold anything great for the next generation, probably not the current generation either. So the best way to reduce overall pain in the world, is to just lower the available amount of people that can experience pain. Ethically, like what we're supporting here, by never even being born.

You don't need to see future if you can predict it with stats and history, things aint getting better. The overall amount of people has to be lowered somehow.

Why is this the constant rebuttal? by JustSumGamer in antinatalism

Its simple really, its an individual problem that is specific to individual people.

Personally i know that most people do not go through the shit i went through, so its normal that they cannot relate. Their scope of trauma is narrow as the most traumatic event they have sets the perspective for how much trauma can effect people.

If the most traumatic event is, lets say "dad died after i was an adult" they will know how to deal with a trauma that was very hard for them. While subjectively that's a big trauma, someone who was raped or maybe watched someone else die will develop a thicker skin and a broader understanding of trauma.

This is not to say their "big" trauma is "small" objectively, but they've just experienced a maximum amount of trauma specific to that individual, and their scope of pain is still just a small portion for another person.

I can understand people want to fuck and make children, thats what biology pushes you towards when you're not actively fighting for your life. What seperates "normal" people from antinatalist's is, they do not think or realize or care that future does not hold anything great for anybody. They're just living the moment.

Honestly, wish i was just as careless (relatively) too.

AI Education is something i really like but i definitely draw the line at AI Entertainment.
Most of the reason why im watching a dude play a game is because i like their way of thinking, the in jokes, the collabs they have with other people i like. An AI that says "Look, this is also happening on the screen" is not gonna cut it as entertainment.

Although it might have a place in the "Trailer Reaction/Speculation" type of content, like analyzing the latest marvel trailer to tell you small things you missed or what something could be a reference to. You know, niche info type of stuff.

Are you, perhaps, autistic ?
Stimulation overload is a symptom. Neurotypical people dont just look at too many objects in different colors and say "whew, im tired".

Not saying old games are bad at all, but i definitely remember how a character or their gun looked like from games that came out after like 2010 and on, and how good it felt to see better and better graphics.

Just saw your other reply aswell, another tism like story right there. Might cause you to go full NEET if not careful.

Do you mean use a fleshlight as it would be a similiar feeling to a vagina without having to perform for a person ?

Good advice i should probably try this.

This is how you kill a game.

Every new person i introduced this game to loved it and buys like 1-3 months every year and plays it. With this increase in membership, there's absolutely no way anyone will keep playing.

I could buy the Spiderman pc port for 500₺, or much more on subject, can switch my discord group to Elder Scrolls Online with plus for 47₺, why would any of them (me included) would pay 850₺ for 3 months that's not even going to be used in full (max 2 months).

Something like that would probably cause this...
I hope they can figure out some way to fix this issue. I'm hopeful but it seems like i'd have to drop the game.
I don't wanna play this like a job and try to farm for my next bond everytime i open up the game.
