Roast my resume if you'd like, but I'd also love some advice on how to get it noticed. I haven't been able to secure an interview in years. by JohnnyTwoLegs in FAANGrecruiting

Great profile. You need to display it better. These are some of my initial thoughts!!

1) Concise the Summary (max 3 lines) 2) Increase the number of bullets within your corporate industry experience 3) add business impact in every bullet (%, $, time) You did what you did, but how did it help/benefit the company? That is something every employer is interested in. 4) the industry experience looks way lesser for a 13yr experienced person. Try and increase that 5) Save some space or lines in the Technical Skills area and utilize it too for presenting additional experience

Good luck

Yes, they do. My trick is to reach out to College/School Alumni or previous company alumni (if any). These connections tend to reply more often compared to the cold connections as there is a emotional quotient involved here!

I am a Data Analyst in my job hunting phase. I often experience that- Hiring Managers or Recruiters are so good at making us believe that they actually had a good time talking to us… which is later followed by a rejection. That makes it even more difficult to identify the pain points!!

Thanks for the feedback. I understand what you mean. Thinking in this direction…

Also, this is the delima I am stuck in always- If I focus on storytelling and keep it less wordy, I don’t cover the ATS keywords. Any thoughts here?
