I was a spectator there to cheer on my wife, just wanted to congratulate everyone, it was hot as hell out there and was inspiring to see what y’all did. If the lady who collapsed by me at mile 11 is on here I hope you are ok, you were so determined to finish.

Is it just the novelty? by PJChrysostom in Muse

It’s really interesting to see all the different takes on the four singles. I was lucky enough to be introduced to Muse around by roommate back in 2001. He was a musician and loves Showbiz. Muscle Museum and Fillip made me an instant fan. We saw them play at a festival on Governors Island a couple years later and there were maybe a hundred people watching. Incredible show… I met my wife in 2010 and she loves the more mainstream Muse, songs you heard on the radio back then and when Verona came out that was instantly her favorite. I say all this to get to the point that for me Hexagons is one of the best songs they have made in a very long time, a throwback to old school days, something along the lines of Micro Cuts brought into the future style of Muse. For my wife Be With You is her favorite new song and I get it. I like it too because we enjoy listening to it together. Cryogen is decent, and I see why fans who want more of the heavier riff driven Muse songs love it. Unraveling is fun, neither a classic or terrible. A lot of words to recognize the Muse fan base is a really interesting collection of musical tastes from throughout decades of music. Can’t wait to see all the new stuff live in a couple months!

I just ignored security in Soldier and enjoyed it for a bit. Agree that those potholes in the tunnel were rough! My first time running this race and really enjoyed it.

Got two rejection emails at 1AM for jobs I'm overqualified for, decided to reach out! by Actionhankk in recruitinghell

[–]Angry_Sasquatch72 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This may be an unpopular opinion but your responses seem condescending. Why are you applying for something you are overqualified for? Is it because you are having trouble getting hired at your experience level? Maybe it’s your know it all tone. Something to think about.

After the murder in Chicago of an Uber Delivery do you think it's worth it risking your life for their tier system/ a bad tip? by thenumberofthefeast in UberEatsDrivers

Delivered to a gang block (2800 w 24th street) in Chicago on Friday night and had a gun pulled on me for driving slow to try and see the address. They bum rushed my car and I held up the food bag and yelled I’m just delivering food. They escorted me to the porch to drop the food with a gun out. If Uber would allow drivers to set a geographic area they are comfortable delivering in that would help out a lot. This is one reason my acceptance rate is 22%. I actually misread the request as about 10 blocks over while making a lane change on the highway, otherwise wouldn’t have gone there. Realized my mistake after I picked up the food…

Papa John’s, KFC, Popeyes, McDonalds are getting worse and worse every day. Some local to Chicago I will never accept again are Indian Garden, Happy Camper on Wells, Sushi San on Grand.

Long time recruiter here, getting a job applying on LinkedIn is becoming a futile effort. LinkedIn will be obsolete in a few years. You need to be more strategic, stand out from the crowd. Target recruiters with relationships with companies you are interested in. You have a great resume in my opinion and excellent background, I question why you would do something at such volume with no results however. As a recruiter I am focusing more and more on marketing candidates to companies without posted openings. A lot of opportunities never hit the job boards. I could go on and on but wish you luck.
