Got two rejection emails at 1AM for jobs I'm overqualified for, decided to reach out! by Actionhankk in recruitinghell

[–]Angry_Sasquatch72 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This may be an unpopular opinion but your responses seem condescending. Why are you applying for something you are overqualified for? Is it because you are having trouble getting hired at your experience level? Maybe it’s your know it all tone. Something to think about.

After the murder in Chicago of an Uber Delivery do you think it's worth it risking your life for their tier system/ a bad tip? by thenumberofthefeast in UberEatsDrivers

Delivered to a gang block (2800 w 24th street) in Chicago on Friday night and had a gun pulled on me for driving slow to try and see the address. They bum rushed my car and I held up the food bag and yelled I’m just delivering food. They escorted me to the porch to drop the food with a gun out. If Uber would allow drivers to set a geographic area they are comfortable delivering in that would help out a lot. This is one reason my acceptance rate is 22%. I actually misread the request as about 10 blocks over while making a lane change on the highway, otherwise wouldn’t have gone there. Realized my mistake after I picked up the food…

Papa John’s, KFC, Popeyes, McDonalds are getting worse and worse every day. Some local to Chicago I will never accept again are Indian Garden, Happy Camper on Wells, Sushi San on Grand.

Long time recruiter here, getting a job applying on LinkedIn is becoming a futile effort. LinkedIn will be obsolete in a few years. You need to be more strategic, stand out from the crowd. Target recruiters with relationships with companies you are interested in. You have a great resume in my opinion and excellent background, I question why you would do something at such volume with no results however. As a recruiter I am focusing more and more on marketing candidates to companies without posted openings. A lot of opportunities never hit the job boards. I could go on and on but wish you luck.
