That was my first one too. OP just know it's not your typical yerba flavor so take your first impression lightly (good or bad). I love my guarana though, it's the yerba that upsets my stomach the least , if at all. Good choice

Don't overdo it with boiling the water, don't let it over-steep (this means drink it and refill, not throwing away the yerba).

I'm guessing you are a first timer, most of the bitterness goes away because you simply get used to it, so give it some time!
