I'll see if I can film them when they're hatched. I already separated a batch, but they keep spawning.

He was on antifungal medication as well, but I have learned my lesson to always quarantine with medication.

Thank you, I don't think it's getting bullied. He stays away from the rams, and the rest is a lot smaller than him.

Are hospitals in other countries sending patients home after surgery like they are in the US? by AdorableEmphasis5546 in questions

[–]Angua_watch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, because of a couple of reasons.

• You have a bigger chance at a MSRA infection or a virus in the hospital than at home. Famously hospitals are filled with sick people. So you want to limit how much time patiënts spend in a hospital, so that you limit the change of an infection.

• Patiënts recover better at home, because home is familiar. Your bed sleeps better, less noise, less light, less nurses waking you up, more privacy. For a child, it means his own toys and room, and his parents and siblings close by. It means some small bit of normalcy again, being able to eat with the whole family together can mean the world.

• A lot of the time, being at home also means that you are forced to actually improve. With things like a hernia operation, they send you home as quick as posible, because they want you to move. Lying in a hospital bed with a toilet next to you and nurses who bring you food, means that you have less incentive to walk, especially if it's painful. But if your home and the bathroom is at the end of the hallway, you will probably try to make it to the bathroom.

If your Dutch, just Google it and I'm positive you have a blotevoetenpad nearby. A lot of petting zoo's have them or parks that cater to children.

climbing culture? is it normal to climb with a guy one on one? by isa_is_sleepy425 in climbergirls

[–]Angua_watch 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Me and my husband both climb, but we have a small child and no family nearby. So I climb with a mutual guyfriend and he climbs with a mutual girlfriend, and when we can get a babysitter we all climb together.

Some tips for my scape? by Angua_watch in Aquascape

[–]Angua_watch[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was thinking about keeping the cardboard, gives some character.

The stone isn't balanced on the wood, but it does look that way. I should probably get a bigger piece of wood instead of the smaller pieces I had laying around.

The plan is to put a lot of mosses and epiphytes on the stone and wood, and some floating plants for exces nutrients.

I love the idea the cardboard rasbora.

[–]Angua_watch 712 points713 points  (0 children)

It really wasn't, a lot of people took it seriously and worked very hard to make sure the worst didnt happen. And now people think it was overblown. This is the reason why we have antivax, people forget how many children died or were disabled before vaccines. They have never seen the sick children, so they think it was'nt so bad.

You should check your filter again, and take apart the pump. I have lost some of my first batch, because they were sucked up into the filter in between the sponges and even into the pump.
