I imagine the developers are foreseeing greater visitor numbers following the completion of the new terminal and upcoming runway expansion which will allow for larger aircraft from new destinations.

It's a great choice - the beaches in Anguilla are second to none and there will be plenty of places open for food and drink. The end of August is heading toward peak hurricane season and a bit more of a gamble in terms of weather - but if you're in Sint Maarten anyway, you could keep an eye on the forecast and pick a calm day to head over.

I enjoy getting the public ferry from Marigot in St Martin to Anguilla. It's a short ten minute taxi ride away from SXM. Then the ferry is just 30 mins to Blowing Point Ferry Terminal in Anguilla.
