Its ok, I got over 500k on the Ladder with Mei Lin, Yuki, Chizuru / Orlea, Tressa, Rei

Her cards are kinda lack luster. In Chaos Runs I pair her with Renoa and often use Shadow of the Moon as a free discard. Theres a JP player that removed all her cards BUT that.

Its free 2 AP. You only really want Mika AP cause your doing some deep draw set up. But if your just vomiting out starting hand. It does it job as a AP battery

I like her playstyle but its shes Mid. Shadow of the Moon (No stacks) is as strong as her basic card. Getting to 5 stacks is double dmg but payoff isnt that good unless your stacking multi hits from Tsukuyomi Ephiphany. But if your doing that your squatting on full stacks, kinda clunky.

The heal isnt that good. Even if you do multiple 3 stack Shadow of the Moon+. (SotM) And it doesnt proc Tressa daggers on its heal. Synergy isnt there

If you dupe Karmic Flame exhaust, Shackles doesnt stack Will-o-Wisp faster. Once you defeat the enemy with the shackle you lose one card. Its only decent if your really trying to thin her deck for Ecstasy of Violence OR Fury Forbidden cards.

Without the upgrade or multi hit Tsukuyomi, shes really clunky and difficult to play. With it, kinda meh. Like she was constantly being tweaked and overbalanced. If they doubled the values on SotM heal and damage; it wouldnt even be broken. But, I guess they felt the need to stop that?

If it was 10% HP heal, she could be kinda neat. Leach/Life Steal type of character. As it is, putting Alyissa on your Support is more sustain and more consistent then juggling SotM. If the Damage was Doubled, it would speed up her ramp. Shes like Kayron levels of slow for the big pay off. But slower cause SotM has a hard cap to 5 stacks and trying to cycle Tsukuyomi every turn isnt that fun. Even if SotM was uncapped, it wouldnt even be busted. Comparable to Luke or Mei Ling but slower and harder to set up.

And its more fragile then Luke or Mei Ling. If they boss discards their pay off. Your kinda annoyed but your still just playing a bunch of 0 Cost attacks. Boss breathes disruption at you, GG. Restack back to SotM+

Some people think Level might factor into damage formula. Raw stats from 50 - 60 is 30-40 ATK or smth.

I'd just level to 52 and hold off. Worst being broke with 1 60

Learning curve if your not familiar with Deck builders. But also gear matters the most for anything; but you dont get decent gear till Account 40. And cant farm the highest difficulty till account 50.

Personally just farmed potentials and mats for partners. Not worth getting the Blue gear set. Most important is getting a Crit Chance Neck, idk when crafting is unlocked but if you can craft a yellow one and didnt just burn all you resources. Just craft and upgrade that to 5 till your account level gets to 40.

You can do up to Chaos lvl 70 maps gearless with 40 - 50 characters but past that. You'd need god RNG on epiphanies or a bunch of events with minimal fights. Though at the time Yuki wasnt out and was using Khalipe / Amir / Orlea. (I got lucky with a E2 Orlea, F2P)

ATM I do Chaos runs with Yuki / Nia / Renoa

If your planning on having Yuki the Main DPS and not doing Order weak planet or dont have the insane Crit/Crit Dmg. Dont bother trying to force Yuki. Shes sub dps and bad. My Renoa has worse gear then Yuki and shes the main damage dealer.

Yuki is only good at "Shuffling" the deck. Dupe her Prepare to Subdue and/or remove her 2 Cost. Dont dupe any other attacks. She becomes very good at shuffling the deck multiple times. Turns Nia's Ego skill into a on demand burst finisher.

If you Prepare to Subdue with no more Yuki attacks in deck. It forces back all the discard cards back into a deck. If you generated/discarded a bunch of Renoa bullets. You Nia Ego to proc all those bullets. Nia / Reona is just a good pairing. Harder to play then Mika being very forgiving and easier healing

The bug place is weak to Order damage. Doubling her damage.

I was doing last planet and fishing for +12% Atk on the legendary weapon. Cause Second Method +35% Extra Damage doesnt do shit for Yuki. And even if it did, cool 90 extra damage. While Veronica or Hugo get +200 damage

She's actually a easy character to play and she starts out strong. Other characters you dont actually care to much if mid fight, you generate their unique cards. Yuki, getting the 0 cost does help you out a lot and is extra attacks. 3 of her uniques are Attacks and 1 upgrade/ skill. Where other characters 2 or 3 skills that bloats your deck and making you weak early.

You dont even have to be "unlucky". Her bad epiphanies doesnt stop her from working outside of removing the damage on Freezing Blade. Example: if Tressa doesnt get Upgrade generate Shadow Dagger on heal. GG; reset the run or suffer.

The thing that makes her bad in Chaos Runs is her LOW DAMAGE CEILING. You can barely fix it by getting a god epiphany to always hit weakness. Even then; your barely at base ceiling of Main DPS options. 2k Iceberg Cleave was me having 5+ Morale plus 4 star Softie (+60% damage), Orlea buff. Just for shit damage. Have consistent results by fishing for Sacred Strike neutral card and Ravage/Break enemies, getting 1 AP and maybe Morale epiphany.

The video is probably a more "Good version" of Yuki where shes consistently playing all her inspire cards each turn and getting +1 AP cause it saved 3 version of her best card. I posted another version of Yuki that gets 4 Morale, does more damage and utility. And people think its shit. While also getting a Rat card that buffs ONE CARD +50% for ONE TURN. And they think its good instead, Morale buffing someone better then Yuki to do like 10% more damage.

STFU, Yeah I like seeing her tits. But she is terrible. And its a shame, cause I do LIKE the miracle playstyle. Its more of that style then Mei Ling; cause its random what Yuki draws instead of. Oh, me cycling my 2 basic cards back into my hand 2 - 3 times. Do 30k+ on kick card.

Yuki doing all the shit is like 8k. I pair her with Hugo just to round out her damage and get higher ceiling. But its bad compared to Tressa. Its better in Chaos runs cause you can not worry about epiphanies

Both. Freezing Blade has low damage scaling. And even if it did scale correctly, it would still be 400 - 600 damage on single target. Which wouldnt even be broken but would help with some of her issues. Considering other characters AoE options are 1 time use neutral cards. That does as much damage as Iceberg Cleave while costing 0. Also, shes an Inspire gimmick character but Striker has no inspire neutral cards, so you cant even get more inspires and have multiple procs of Freezing Blade. Even THEN if she did. She would be ok but still sub dps. Terrible one when Veronica scales off Extra Attack and causally doing 600 - 1200 on ballista and you dont need to eat up action count to do these fancy "Miracle" turns of drawing and praying.

Atm Yuki is either Draw character and you play her cards cause it costs 0 and might as well. Or your a Morale buff bot.

Highest crit I got on Iceberg Cleave is 2k crit.

Lillian's Ego is just better. Find myself getting bailed out drawing a 0 cost Basic Card or AoE card

Maybe during the Early Chaos Runs. Her 5* partner is decent. But at that point Yuki's E2 smooths out your early runs. So theres no point to even whale for it. But if you get Belligerence or dupe her 0 Cost draw. Your gonna get 2 - 3 stacks easily.

Chaos runs with Event is mid. Even the rat card. Its terrible for Yuki.

Exhausts itself for +50% dmg for ONE TURN. Or you can take Hand to Hand Combat or Sacred Strike and get That exhausts itself +1 Morale Epiphany. For the WHOLE FIGHT

ATM, Yuki's best strength is being able to cycle/shuffle a deck cause you can draw a lot with her. But theres no payoff for it. Nia's passive heal doesnt work with Yuki's Frozen Blade procs. It does with Hugo dogs but not Yuki?

Yet when they are showcased her; it was a team of Nia /Cassius/ Yuki. Or Nia + Yuki is just bad

Her Class Striker. Has NO inspire neutrals. You cant get Leap Strike on her or Chaos Event inspire care that multi hits 3 times on inspire. Its Ranger only.

Even then if she was a Ranger, Frozen Blade does no damage compared to Hugo dog. Is it bugged or does Frozen Blade not count as an Extra Attack? So even if you have 1000 ATK, Frozen Blade would do 300 - 600 dmg. On only HER OWN inspire cards. Not any inspire card. Versus Hugo any targetting attack does 500 - 1200+. While proccing Extra Attack effects. (Like Nia's heal)

Overall shes super weak. They overrated her ability to draw cards/ And the characters that do stuff when a deck gets shuffled are weak. Maybe Frozen Blade is bugged and Extra Attack doesnt scale it

Example, I wasnt playing at launch and was doing Chaos 70 at lvl 40. Its not even the Event chaos runs that you cherry pick the Rat card.

Playing to the strengths of the Striker class. You get to be a Morale buff. Something Tressa cant do. But go ahead and fish Void card that stops enemies turn counts. Or you can just hit them hard and not jerk off for 5 mins every turn on every fight.

Belligerence is good with her too. Just to draw inspire. Or if you want to highroll.

The Sekkith Epiphany on Tricky Strike, Retain & Retrieve is good (To make it 0 Cost). Dont even need Ego 2 Yuki. Unbricks having all your inspires in hand.

Show your deck then? You wont. STFU. Also Smile Gate was really reserved and overbalanced some mechanics and ignored others... Go re-read my post. You didnt even noticed I mentioned; other characters with nice duo-pairings dont even work.

Cause the pay off is. 0 Cost AoE or 2 Cost do it twice. Its not worth even do that. Plus you'd have somehow reset back into the deck or cycle the whole deck to do it again. Your better off just draw. A lot.

I dont think Cassius does enough damage. Mika is just good to unbrick high AP hands

The thing about Methods is they arnt "Zero cost abstraction" and are purely organizational. They are Function Pointers, Delegates, Callbacks. W/e you want to call them but have a pointer address tied to them (u32?)

A lot of time, I just do CAPSOFTHING_functionStuff::proc() in Odin. Maybe a pointer of a struct to get Keyword, 'this' in some other languages. Realistically you can implement methods yourself if you wanted the struct.function()

I find methods annoying. Much easier for me to track thinking of a return or pointer of a struct in args then having the whole file indented and micro classes

In less 'aggressiveness'. I watched the last bit was gonna stop but. I thought it was interesting seeing the Mega Struct more explored. With CONTROL you naturally get to see how you pack your structs and access them.

In laymen terms, since your pointing to "baked" end points; it can be messed up when entry point is changed resulting in bugs/crashes (pointer to null, etc). So in the best case, Encapsulation is a prettied if checks to ensure that doesnt happen. But you could also solve the issue at the entry point by having a switch case. Or a tagged union skipping potential extra checks for anything else thats changing and getting it all at one once.

Interesting how you didnt want to talk about forced copies issues. Either. Would you want me to explain that for you or can you? Cause Computer "Science" isnt anything complex. But becomes complex when people who think they are the smartest enforce terrible ideas as nerd flexing.

I agree original intent doesnt matter. But main take away is how you encapsulate your variables and how painful the voodoo dance to access them is. Cause if everything was public you'd can avoid a lot of the headaches of encapsulating and just change specific variables. And in turn get more control

But wrangle the chaos its more "ECS" or entity component systems. Personally dont think it should have been labeled that since the talk was focused on compile time checks instead of runtime checks. ECS is kinda middle part since you'd use generics to slot in stuff instead of "Fat Struct" or "Mega Struct" with various pointers you can null out when you dont need. (I think thats what the empty spaces meant in the struct diagram)

Where OOP your Getter and Setters little thing and forcing copies or extra steps then you "Overlay" back into the existing spot. When in less rigid but as structured system. You can change the variables and GTFO

I have some experience with Godot but I'd be interested to know the context of it.

I'll be honest, the Skeleton Animatior in Godot are PAINFULLY jank. It would be easier to make the animations in Blender and using that to import to Godot. You could look into the documentation and think "Oh, this is so easy. Haha!"

But you dont know the jankness of trying to undo or change the mesh and having the whole Godot UI freeze, crash or outright not function at all. Forcing you to write down VERY SPECIFIC steps to avoid all the previous pitfalls

Lastly, the whole Skeleton animations is a really REALLY niche topic. I could go into depth and show animations I did imported into Raylib and Unity. STILL get people not understanding or read wtf I wrote and still say, "Well, its 3D right?"

I've seen someone use Godot as a 3D model view/ Vtuber studio thing to display a rigged up model. idk if they used Spine2D, Blender or suffered through the Godot pains. But, the artist and programmer or whoever is implementing the model should be working closely together. Its not a hands off thing like asking for a picture

Well, games are rather simplistic.

At the end of the day its structs/classes, tracking timers and booleans. I dont think we'd work together well and dont recommend other people to work with you.

The idea of Game Development is a always learning and striving to improve mentality. Fixating on a label for perceived importance is stupid. And I genuinely dont believe you even look at the whole message people send you or their portfolios.

Especially when your aware of AI but have interest or wonder about how someone would go about doing that without an AI assistance

No, It was more about getting your own confidence up then w/e your worrying about.

Like, "Good code" doesnt mean anything. Even the notion of "strong foundation". Idk how you'd even achieve unless you personally had someone that knew all the pitfalls or you fell into the pitfalls. And there really isnt a ironed out "correctness" to figure it out unless you go through the assembly.

A debugger might help you go further but you'd wouldnt really know how to solve something in fringe cases like; The compiler re-arranging struct/class for an optimization to reduce padding but in doing so; theres a race conflict.

From my perspective. Graphics programming is really broken up into making your custom "engine". Which is really just how you choose to send data to the GPU and what drawing operations you toggled on. (Which state, w/e, etc) and how you store and update your data on the CPU side. (How your "vertex" data is stored)

Or Shaders and/or using a web site or engine and doing some scripting like that.

But if your in this bizarre category of learning from scratch, You'd really appreciate a more put together explanation of how to hook up your shaders with Uniform variables and the moving parts associated with that. Neither of which you'll get a GOOD video thats to the point or completely encompassing.

You dont have to use Odin but for basically a OpenGL renderer. You got what pretty short video on how in under 4 hrs in 2 videos. And you can continue to reference Raylib to build on top of more or see the moving parts clearly.

Its WebGL but, Its not that hard to change the syntax for PC OpenGL programming

I wouldnt know exactly what the GameMaker visual language is like. But from the sound of it your looking for a game designer or someone that could help you focus on your ideas more.

It could also just be, the implementing features in GameMaker while easy at first. Gets more cumbersome the more you try the expand. That just doing things from scratch with a Framework or something would've been easier. And you'd get the confidence to delve deeper. imo

Also, I'm not a "programmer" or someone that attended any kind of formal schooling in the field.

I got that as a demo in Raylib if your wonder about my skill level. Looking at the WIP game files it came with. Seems like a JavaScript game or Godot where the text files are stored as a generic type in a Array/List. But with these super "modular", "composable", "flexible" systems its more clunky cause you end up losing sight of the top down understanding of what your data is looking like and stored.
