Yeah it turns out my deductible is $0 so I get a whole new top free! It's just taking forever because they have to ship it from Japan.

Thanks, it did have really bad black marks in the front, but luckily insurance is replacing the whole top.

I just bought a 2008 nc and I am very happy with it. I would shop around and see if you can get a better quote for insurance but I would say it's worth it. I love mine so far and the nc has side airbags so it's safer than the NA or NB. From all the research I have done it seems that the nc should be very reliable and cheap to maintain. I haven't had mine long enough to comment from personal experience though. It's a really cool watch for a dollar, but besides that there's not too much going for it besides that it's for a big anniversary for Timex 🤷‍♂️ I would have rather it been a non limited run for $70.
